• Water God Tiangong continued condensing his Star River and extending his power into the River of Time, alarming Zhu Guangyin and Chu Xisheng.
• Chu Xisheng appointed Dragon Lords, expanded the dynasty’s control over rivers and seas, and ordered armies and fleets to seize more waterways while he and Chu Yunyun cultivated their powers.

As he began gathering fragments of the Divine Covenant Heavenly Stele, new laws rang across heaven and earth and Tiangong, the Water God, attacked the Cloudsea Immortal Palace.

• Chu Lingxi told Wen Suyi that Yang God Taihao would reveal a Divine Artifact material in exchange for Chu Xisheng helping him escape the reversal of yin and yang, and offered the Torch Dragon’s Eye as a deposit.
• Wen Suyi read Taihao’s personal letter and received the Book of Precepts, which had recovered at least twenty-three of its pages.

After killing Mao Hong for slaughtering Great Law’s subjects, Chu Yunyun discovered that Tang Yi, the Demigod assigned to guard Tianbu Commandery, had fallen into cultivation deviation.

• Chu Yunyun appointed Dugu Shou Policy Consultant of the Grand Secretariat and Northwest Pacification Commissioner, then heard Chu Ming’s assessment of the Transcendent Ranks in the Southwest and her report that the Gu God had accepted Chu Xisheng’s invitation.
• Chu Ming agreed to an investigation by Minister of Justice Tie Kuangren, and Chu Yunyun stripped her of her official posts pending the findings while promising to help perfect her Inner World afterward.
• Chu Yunyun rushed to a village in Tianbu Commandery, where she found Mao Hong had killed more than fifty people using a demonic Blood Sacrifice Method.
• Mao Hong argued that other Demigods also used the method, but Chu Yunyun pursued and killed him with her God-Defying Banner Spear.

Chu Xisheng pressured Shen Shaomiao into directing a Corpse Calamity against the Giant Spirits, then revealed that his real aim was to use the outbreak to target God-Emperor Gouchen. Shen Shaomiao refused to help him attack Gouchen, but Chu warned that her Divine Power had already become part of the plan.

Gouchen Star Lord and the other Gods discussed the Corpse Poison, their plans to strike at Chu Xisheng’s allies, and the growing conflict with the Human Race. As Gouchen drank wine at Mount Buzhou, Shen Shaomiao’s hidden insect entered his cup, and she believed her plan to infect him had succeeded.

• Wenqu Star Lord warned Gouchen that the counterfeit Corpse Poison still threatened weaker Giant Spirits, and Gouchen assigned him and Heavenly Stove Star Lord to protect the settlements.
• Greedy Wolf Star Lord said the Four Great Corpse Ancestors were hiding in the Central Lands, while Wood Virtue Star Lord proposed targeting another of Chu Xisheng’s allies.
• Wenqu ordered the human-meat skewers removed, and Greedy Wolf defended eating them as he argued the Gods and Human Race were already locked in a fight to the death.
• Gouchen considered the cost of war with the Human Race and wondered how the Di Jiang Bird had crossed into Sagehood after becoming Chu Yunyun’s mount.
• Gouchen drank wine without noticing the insects Shen Shaomiao had hidden in it, and Shen Shaomiao believed one had entered his body and begun infecting him with Corpse Poison.

Chu Xisheng urged Shen Shaomiao to flee before Gouchen learned she had infected the giant spirits, then challenged Gouchen at Mount Buzhou. As the gods fought back, Chu Xisheng used the Divine Covenant Heavenly Stele to seize Gouchen’s Heavenly Orders and force him to his feet.

• Shen Shaomiao realized that her corpse poison was infecting giant spirits and strengthening her connection to the Ten Thousand Plagues Method.
