Ye Feng did not stand on ceremony either. He piled two plates high with food and turned to leave.
But he saw the two women still standing blankly behind him.
Exasperated, Ye Feng urged them:
"What are you standing around for? Go get some food! There's nothing much to do at this banquet anyway. We might as well eat more!"
Hearing his urging, the two women could only pick up plates and carefully take a tiny bit of food.
At the sight, Ye Feng could not help rolling his eyes:
"That's not even enough to fill the gaps between your teeth. It doesn't cost anything, so eat as much as you like!"
As he spoke, Ye Feng took matters into his own hands, piling a plate high for each woman and even preparing one for Garurumon.
Then he led the two women to an empty corner and began enjoying the food before him.
Garurumon seemed to have caught the scent too. She actually jumped straight onto the table and looked pitifully at Ye Feng.
Pleased with Garurumon's behavior, Ye Feng pushed the food he had prepared for her in front of her.
Garurumon's eyes immediately lit up. She plopped down on the table, grabbed a slice of meat with her two little paws, and stuffed it into her mouth.
Ye Feng found the sight quite novel. Garurumon was actually copying the way humans ate meat.
So he asked her in his mind:
Since when did you start eating like this?
Garurumon turned toward Ye Feng haughtily:
Don't you all eat like this? I think it's pretty good. Is there a problem?
Ye Feng thought about it and found nothing wrong with what Garurumon had said. Who said beasts had to lie down to eat?
