Black Zetsu did not doubt his words. Obito's condition really had reached the point where a moment's delay could have cost him his life. Besides, Obito had personally released the Nine-Tails. Had the Ghost-Faced Mask Man not appeared, Kushina would certainly have died.
Black Zetsu simply could not understand how the Ghost-Faced Mask Man had saved Kushina's life. Even he, who had lived for a thousand years, had no way of saving Kushina in that state.
