News of the apprenticeship spread through Konoha, prompting Orochimaru to warn Danzō, the Third Hokage to take an interest in Ye Feng, and the Uchiha clan to move quickly to approach him.

• Ye Feng returned to school, reassured Obito, and shared his Chinese lunch with Obito, Rin Nohara, Inuzuka Clan Fengyu, Kurenai Yuhi, and Asuma Sarutobi, who ate it all before he could have any.
• Orochimaru's decision to take Uchiha Yefeng as his disciple became known throughout Konoha and the Ninja Academy.

• Ye Feng declined Orochimaru’s request for tissue samples and hurried away, prompting Orochimaru to head for Root’s stronghold.
• Shimura Danzō became eager to uncover the secret behind Ye Feng’s strength, but Orochimaru confronted him and warned that Ye Feng was his student.

• Inuzuka Clan Fengyu brought Heimaru to class and introduced her to Ye Feng, but Heimaru bit him when he tried to examine her.

• When Might Guy and Might Duy failed to appear for training, Ye Feng went to check on them and learned that a doctor had found minor internal injuries in Might Duy.
• Ye Feng examined Might Duy and found only ordinary, mostly healed injuries, so he asked to meet the doctor and learn his name.

• During lunch, Shinnō asked the hospital staff about unusual incidents and heard rumors of a man-eating demon on Commercial Street.
• Shinnō asked about Uchiha Yefeng and learned that he was a Ninja Academy student and a member of the Uchiha Clan.
• Shinnō decided against formally visiting the Uchiha Clan Compound and instead went to the Ninja Academy gates to look for Yefeng.

After Shinnō searched for Ye Feng at the Ninja Academy, Ye Feng and Orochimaru decided he had to be killed to protect the medicinal bath formula and prevent it from reaching Konoha’s leaders or other villages. They learned Shinnō was the Sky Ninja’s leader and planned an ambush at Might Duy’s House for the following day.

• Inuzuka Clan Fengyu told Ye Feng that Shinnō had gone to the Ninja Academy asking about him, and Ye Feng realized Shinnō was pursuing the medicinal bath formula.
• Ye Feng told Orochimaru about the formula’s effects and explained why revealing it to Konoha’s leaders could cause trouble or war.
• Orochimaru agreed that Shinnō had to die, and Ye Feng revealed that Shinnō was the leader of the Sky Ninja.

Ye Feng, Orochimaru, and Might Duy set a trap for Shinnō to seize his Medical Forbidden Technique: Body Revival scroll. After Shinnō exposed the ambush and revealed his transformed, youthful form, the battle began.

• Ye Feng told Might Duy to hide his strength and stop Shinnō from escaping, while Might Duy insisted that Might Guy stay to watch from a safe distance.
• Ye Feng pretended to spill boiling water on Shinnō, noticed him protect his chest, and stabbed him with a poisoned needle before Shinnō kicked Ye Feng through several walls.

Shinnō regained his youth and fought Orochimaru and his subordinates, overpowering their attacks and proving difficult to injure. When Shinnō tried to escape before Konoha reinforcements arrived, Ye Feng blocked his route but was sent flying by Shinnō’s punch.

• Shinnō completed his transformation, regained his youthful appearance, and tore free of the snakes around him.
• Orochimaru and his subordinates attacked Shinnō with combined ninjutsu, nets, snakes, and explosive-tag kunai, but Shinnō broke through and badly injured one Jonin.
• Orochimaru fought Shinnō at close range, but Shinnō cut him in two before Orochimaru reconnected his body with snake heads.

Might Duy fought Shinnō with the Eight Gates Released Formation and defeated him after opening the Seventh Gate. Orochimaru secretly took Shinnō’s Scroll and destroyed his head despite an Anbu captain’s order to stop, leaving the captain to report him to the Third Hokage.

• Shinnō recognized Ye Feng and tried to escape when Orochimaru and the others arrived, but Might Duy struck him back into their encirclement.
• Might Duy fought Shinnō using the Sixth Gate, then opened the Seventh Gate when he could not overpower him quickly enough.
