Might Duy and Hyuga Kong captured Fu, the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki, and Ye Feng extracted Chomei’s chakra. With most of the Tailed Beasts gathered and the Eight-Tails still missing, the Five Great Shinobi Villages convened a summit in the Land of Iron to discuss Akatsuki.

At the Five Kage Summit, Minato Namikaze and the other Kage shared intelligence about the Akatsuki and agreed to protect the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails. The Akatsuki leader attacked the summit, declared the Fourth Shinobi World War, and left the Kage shaken by his claims about the organization’s forces and Ultimate Weapon.
