Just then, several more tentacles burst out of the sea, followed by the creature they belonged to. It was an unusually enormous squid, almost as large as a Tailed Beast.
The failure of its earlier tentacle attack seemed to have brought a vicious gleam to the squid's eyes. It stared at Ye Feng and his companion, waving another four or five tentacles as though it intended to attack Ye Feng again.
At the sight, Ye Feng's expression darkened. A terrifying surge of killing intent poured out of him, aimed directly at the giant squid.
Beside him, Killer B and Naruto felt an incomparably biting chill wash over them. Their bodies froze on the spot, and they looked at Ye Feng in utter horror.
The giant squid seemed to sense that powerful killing intent as well. Its tentacles, which had been waving in a show of force, abruptly stopped moving.
Its enormous eyes looked at Ye Feng with bewilderment and fear, as though it could not understand how such a tiny creature could inspire such immense terror in it.
The next second, the giant squid suddenly revealed its enormous mouthparts and sprayed out a great mass of black liquid, blocking everyone's view.
Ye Feng and Naruto were fine, since the bubble barrier kept the black liquid outside. Killer B released his Tailed Beast Cloak and avoided being hit as well.
The large ship that had brought Ye Feng and the others, however, fared badly. Its natural wood-colored hull had now been dyed black.
The Kumogakure Ninja aboard suffered even more. They had left their cabins so they could escape at any moment, only to be struck squarely by the black liquid. They became little black figures, looking utterly ridiculous.
Fortunately, the black liquid was only ordinary ink. It did no harm
