Everyone left the meeting hall until only Minato Namikaze, Kakashi Hatake, and Shikaku Nara remained.
Minato Namikaze let out a heavy breath. Things would only become more troublesome from here.
Minato Namikaze turned to Shikaku Nara and said:
"Shikaku, go take care of your work. This is a shinobi world war. You'll probably be the busiest of us all. Thank you for your hard work!"
Shikaku Nara's gaze was solemn.
"I will not disappoint you or Konoha!"
With that, Shikaku Nara turned to leave. As he reached the door, he involuntarily lifted his head and straightened his back, only leaving the hall after making sure nothing was amiss.
Kakashi Hatake spoke then:
"Are you heading back to the Hokage Office?"
Minato Namikaze waved a hand and said:
"No. You go take care of your work too. I'll stop by Ye Feng's place."
With that, Minato Namikaze also walked out.
But Minato Namikaze did not use the Flying Thunder God Technique. He simply walked toward Ye Feng's home, step by step, his eyes constantly surveying the surrounding buildings and people, as though he wanted to engrave them in his mind.
Without realizing it, Minato Namikaze suddenly found himself at Ye Feng's door.
This time, Minato Namikaze did not kick the door off its hinges. Instead, he knocked lightly.
A flippant voice came from inside:
"You're already here, so why bother knocking? It's unlocked. Open it yourself!"
Minato Namikaze gave a wry smile and pushed the door open.
Ye Feng was reclining comfortably in a lounge chair, munching on fruit, his eyes fixed on a book and a lecherous smile on his face.
Minato Namikaze made himself right at home, lying down in the lounge chair beside Ye Feng, pulling Ye Feng's fruit platter over to his side, and starting to eat
