Background and History

Mito recognized Chishima Chiba's physique as exceptionally close to the Uzumaki or Senju bloodlines. Rather than investigate the origin of his heritage, she accepted him as a half-relative and began treating him as family. His patience in helping her untangle yarn further earned her affection. 12

She personally taught Tsunade and Chiba, testing Chiba's Chakra nature and identifying his Yin-nature Chakra as well suited to Sealing Jutsu. Impressed by his memory and talent, Mito regarded him as a potential heir to her sealing arts and gave him additional lessons. 18 19

Following Senju Tobirama's apparent death, Mito became a Hokage Advisor under the Third Hokage. She used her position to influence Konoha's political direction, including advocating for Uchiha Hei's appointment and supporting reforms to the Ninja Academy. 57 59 83
