Wang Ba uncovered the Immortal Ascension Society’s surveillance and bone-replacement scheme while seeking a way to escape the Eastern Saint Sect. As the Sect prepared for war, he reached the ninth layer of the Body-Strengthening Scripture and received Zhao Feng’s help protecting the Lu Household.

• Wang Ba learned that the Body-Strengthening Scripture could reveal Hidden Spiritual Roots, met Ye Lingyu, and discovered that Lu Yuansheng had died and the Lu Household had fallen into hardship.
• Zhao Feng recognized Wang Ba’s perfected scripture and hidden spiritual root, gave him a protective pendant, and warned him about a coming upheaval.

Wang Ba awakened his Spiritual Roots, began cultivating, and prepared to escape the Eastern Saint Sect. When the Heavenly Gate Sect attacked, he returned to find betrayal and fighting at Dingjiu Manor.

• Wang Ba completed the Body-Strengthening Scripture’s tenth layer, gained a spiritual root, and decided to leave the sect as its disciples prepared to march.
• Chu Erniu attacked Wang Ba, but the Stone-Surnamed Cultivator stopped him, and Zhao Feng later warned Wang Ba that trouble would come when the sect’s leaders departed.
• Wang Ba accompanied Ye Lingyu to Fengyang Market, bought a Spiritual Root Talisman and cultivation books, and received a Spirit Beast Bag after helping her bargain for Spirit Chickens.
• Wang Ba discovered four low-grade Spiritual Roots, began the Ren Water Fourfold Command Art, and reached the first level of Qi Refining.

After the Eastern Saint Sect fell, Wang Ba survived the Heavenly Gate Sect’s takeover by becoming an outer-sect heterodox Dao cultivator and building a chicken farm. He completed his mission, cultivated to the third layer of Qi Refining, and settled into three years of relative peace.

• Qin Heng fought Jing Kongcheng and the Heavenly Gate Sect, but Ji Lan’s formation failed to prevent the Blood-Bone Venerable from killing him and capturing the sect’s survivors.
• Senior Brother Lu sorted the captives, and Yu Changchun recruited Wang Ba as an outer-sect heterodox Dao cultivator in exchange for a long-term supply of spirit chickens.
• Wang Ba established a farm by South Lake, raised Precious Chickens and Yellow-Throated Spirit Turtles, and used the Primordial Yang Reversal Technique to produce thousands of fertilized eggs.
