Wang Ba cultivated the Five Elements, attended the Dao-Seeking Assembly, and joined a dangerous coastal patrol that ended with him stranded beyond the Sea Barrier with Qin Lingxiao. On the isolated island, he experimented with Winged Serpent methods, survived a beast attack, and prepared to explore the surrounding sea with Dafu.

• Wang Ba mastered several Law Arts and united his Five Elements, then impressed the Dao-Seeking Assembly with his beast-taming score while Mo Qi took first place among Foundation Establishment cultivators.
• Wang Ba and Xi Wushang departed on a coastal patrol after Bu Chan gave birth to their son Yi'an, and they encountered Winged Serpent sacrifices and fighting along the West Sea Kingdom's southern coast.
• Wang Ba's group was ambushed near Evil Dragon Islet, where the Wu Ape King and Wang Ba fought the Feathered Serpent Tribe's forces as Xumi rushed to investigate.
• Wang Ba triggered a flood of Yuan Magnetic seawater that swept him and Qin Lingxiao away from the others, leaving them stranded on an isolated island beyond the Sea Barrier.
• Wang Ba rescued Wu Yi's remnant soul in a Phantom Chicken and studied the Winged Serpent Sutra and Snake Sacrifice Method, but his attempts to restore cultivators' strength led to violent deaths.
• Wang Ba and Qin Lingxiao spent a month without rescue, then a Coral Dragon Rhinoceros attacked them and swallowed Wang Ba and the Wu Ape King before its corpse surfaced.
• Wang Ba and Qin Lingxiao harvested the Coral Dragon Rhinoceros, raised his Profound Dragon Dao Soldiers to the Third Tier, and named the giant Yuan Magnetic Stone Dragon Lizard Dafu.

Wang Ba escaped the Sea Barrier crisis, returned to Bu Chan, and later traveled west as the war threatened the West Sea Kingdom. After helping Yao Wudi reach Spirit Transformation, he returned to the sect, took on new duties, and arranged for Wang Yi'an to study the Sword Dao under Zhao Feng.

• Wang Ba and Qin Lingxiao crossed the Sea Barrier, met Ciwu, and learned that Membrane Eyes threatened the continents before Ciwu passed his legacy to the Wu Ape King.
• Wang Ba encountered Yu Chen’s remains and the True Membrane Eye, reunited with Xumi, and helped Xumi reach Spirit Transformation before Qi Yan and the others rescued him.
• Wang Ba returned to Myriad Phenomena Sect, refused the Qin Clan’s marriage proposal because he already had Bu Chan, and later formed a Gold Core after years of cultivation.
• Wang Ba traveled west with Zhao Feng as Three Continents forces attacked the West Sea Kingdom, and he stayed behind to resist a blood sacrifice while Zhao Feng carried a warning to Yao Wudi.
• Yao Wudi defeated the invaders and reached Spirit Transformation with Wang Ba’s help, while the True Membrane Eye grew larger and the sect’s cultivators withdrew.
• Wang Ba reunited with Shen Fu, returned to the Spirit Cuisine Department as deputy minister, and improved its recipe development and recordkeeping.
• Wang Ba and Bu Chan had Wang Yi'an assessed, and Zhao Feng accepted him as a disciple and took him to Heart Sword Peak.
• Wang Ba left the Spirit Cuisine Department after its records table impressed the ministers and flew toward Heavenly Blade Peak.

Wang Ba rose to greater responsibility in the Myriad Phenomena Sect and helped rescue Great Qi refugees from the Myriad Gods Kingdom. After Yao Wudi reclaimed Great Qi’s hidden secret realms, Wang Ba was left managing their people and supplies as new dangers gathered around the neighboring kingdoms.

• Wang Ba learned the One Intent Transforms into Qi Blade technique, took on duties in the Beast Taming Department, and became a deputy minister of two departments and Right Protector of the Earthly Treasures Hall.
• Wang Ba organized records across the Twenty-Five Departments, began studying Pure Dharma Heaven and the Dragon-Tiger Origin Kan Great Art, and reunited with Bu Chan and their son after Bu Chan survived her Gold Core tribulation.
• After Great Qi was destroyed, Wang Ba joined Song Dongyang’s mission to find refugees in the Chen Kingdom and took charge when Song Dongyang went farther into the occupied kingdoms.
• Wang Ba and Tang Ji helped evade Myriad Gods Kingdom pursuers and protect Song Dongyang’s refugee group, but the Infant God and Mountain Ogre God attacked them before Yao Wudi arrived and killed both threats.
• Yao Wudi went to Great Qi’s capital, seized Chao Yunwen and Chao Kangzheng’s Secret Realms, and moved nearly a thousand Incense Dao cultivators and crowds of mortals out of danger.
• Yao Wudi gave Wang Ba a Scroll Painting Secret Realm containing Great Qi survivors, mortals, resources, and materials for the Wu Ape King’s ascension, while the Myriad Gods Kingdom overran much of the Yan Kingdom.
• After Yao Wudi rejected the Evil Gods’ territorial proposal, Song Dongyang and Tang Ji left to seek an Ancient Dao Opportunity in Sen Kingdom, and Wang Ba stayed to supply and manage the Secret Realm’s inhabitants.

Wang Ba investigated curse arts and a series of disappearances, uncovering Fanming’s scheme on Wood-Forest Island before discovering a blood sacrifice in the Li Kingdom. Back at the Myriad Phenomena Sect, he became Chief Director of the Five Elements Offices and received responsibility for three hundred million mortals.

• Wang Ba visited the Myriad Incantation Sect to study curse arts, then learned that Ye Lingyu and Qin Heng had both perished and named the new soul in Ye Lingyu’s body Wang Qingyang.
• Wang Ba joined Ling Weizi and Qu Zhongqiu’s investigation into missing cultivators and helped lure rogue cultivators to the Ghost Market with marking talismans and a public lecture by Zhang Songnian.
• Wang Ba tracked Yang Gongyi to Wood-Forest Island, where Fanming controlled captives and tried to transfer its Primordial Spirit into Jia Ten Five.
• Wang Ba used the God-Locking Bell to free the captives and discovered a strange seven-branched tree and Wooden Mortar before Fanming escaped north.
• Yan Wuxiong discovered that captives were being kept alive so cultivators could extract their Dao intent, while Wang Ba and Li Yingfu uncovered a blood calamity in the Li Capital.
• Shangguan Ren revealed himself as the Primordial Demon Sect’s Sect Master and used a blood sacrifice to awaken a fifth-tier Blood Qilin, which he subdued with Han Yanzi.
• Wang Ba returned to the Myriad Phenomena Sect, reunited with Bu Chan and Wang Yi'an, and attended the assembly where the sect discussed refugees, the Tribulation-Crossing Treasure Raft, and Song Dongyang’s successor.
• After Wang Ba won the most votes for Deputy Hall Master, Xun Fujun instead appointed him Chief Director of the Five Elements Offices and gave him a Secret Realm containing three hundred million mortals to manage.
