She escaped repeated attempts on her life while traveling to find him 4 6 63.

Her elder sister, Zhu Zhuyun, and the eldest prince, Dai Weisi, continued hunting her after she fled. Zhu Zhuqing later recalled poisoned weapons, near-fatal injuries, and family assassins mocking her as she lay wounded near the Star Dou Great Forest 113 114.

Zhu Zhuqing is reserved, proud, and intensely vigilant. On entering the Star Dou Great Forest, she immediately volunteers to scout ahead because of her superior Soul Power, agility, and sensitivity to danger. Her habit of treating shadows as potential threats reflects years of pursuit rather than simple aloofness 22 58.

She strongly dislikes hypocrisy and abandonment. Rather than accept the diary’s accusations against Dai Mubai without proof, she travels to verify them herself. Once she catches him with other women, she leaves without accepting his explanations and later openly rejects his claim that his behavior is excusable because he is a man 6 14 15 35.

Her guarded manner softens around trusted companions. She enjoys petting small Soul Beasts, becomes embarrassed by Xiao Wu’s teasing, and is deeply affected by stories about devotion and people escaping lives controlled by others 21 42 55 73.

Her loyalty can become self-sacrificial, but she is also tactically practical: she refuses to abandon the route to the inn while Xiao Wu needs protection, then withdraws once that purpose has been fulfilled.
