Orgrim led the Horde army farther north. Faced with their formidable fighting strength and the enhancement of Demon Blood, the dwarves were defeated without question. The Horde captured most of the Bronzebeard Dwarves' kingdom of Khaz Modan, forcing them to fall back to Ironforge. Meanwhile, in Grim Batol, the former Wildhammer Dwarven city now under orc control, the Dragonmaw Clan leader Nekros established a secret force.
Red dragon riders formed the core fighting strength of this secret army. Nekros, the Dragonmaw Clan's most famous and notorious warlock, used an ancient artifact called the Dragon Soul to control the Red Dragon Queen Alexstrasza and her red dragonflight.
At Dragonmaw Harbor, the Horde seized the dwarves' harbor and warships, preparing to assemble a fleet to continue advancing north by sea and attack the human Alliance army.
Orgrim met one of his new lieutenants, Zuluhed, chieftain of the Dragonmaw Clan.
"Zuluhed!" Orgrim Doomhammer looked at the withered old orc. Ragged, graying braids lay haphazardly on his head, and his blood-red eyes stared straight into Doomhammer's.
The power filling that gaze made even Orgrim shudder a little. After the bloody battles against the Bronzebeard Dwarves, Orgrim's fighting strength had soared. Already at the ninth tier, he was now showing faint signs of another breakthrough. The enhancement of rage made Doomhammer even deadlier. This tremendous strength already rendered the full plate armor issued to the Alliance's troops useless, and countless human and dwarven soldiers had tasted shattered bones and mangled flesh.
