After several years of development, the Floating City's initial construction was complete. Following Patrick's ideas, extensive infrastructure had been built inside, including homes, schools, Holy Light churches, and barracks. The farms outside the Floating City were fully established, while the former site of the Sun Temple had been entirely converted into farmland and sentry posts. The commercial activities of the elf civilians remained centered within the Floating City; the facilities outside were merely supplementary, so the land below would not stand idle.
Over these years, several Councilors seemed to have become different people. They no longer maliciously stirred up trouble with the Cabrolon family. With Patrick's advancement to Legendary, Sunlight City's standing could no longer be shaken.
The Alliance had already dispatched Turalyon, Khadgar, Elenora Yunji, Danath Trollbane, and Kurdran Wildhammer to lead the Expeditionary Force through the Dark Portal to the orcs' homeland of Draenor, seeking to eliminate the Horde's threat once and for all.
Not long after the Expeditionary Force departed, the spiritual pillar of the human world, Holy Light Archbishop of Lordaeron Alonsus Faol, passed away. Priest Leader Rotande Gili temporarily assumed the Archbishop's duties. With Alonsus's passing, the entire Alliance of Lordaeron was plunged into grief. It was not hard for someone to do a single good deed, but people like Alonsus Faol, who spent their entire lives doing good, were truly rare. Any human, when Archbishop Alonsus Faol was mentioned to them, would express boundless admiration.
Yet the Kingdom of Lordaeron remained unsettled, with orc raids continuing. After Orgrim Doomhammer died in battle in the Kingdom of Stromgarde, Thrall became Warchief of the New Horde, then led the Horde's army against Durnholde, the central hub of the orc internment camps, before continuing the war for orc liberation.
