Tandred had the fewest ground troops, but he indirectly helped the other powers solve the problem of transporting supplies and troops. After all, to reach the Silithus Great Desert, large armies could only enter through the Nathalis Desert, and a main road in Tanaris's Shrub Valley led straight to Un'Goro Crater.
The Continental Allied Forces were nothing like small bands of adventurers. Regular armies with large formations could only take proper roads. Towering mountains blocked the northern side of the Silithus Great Desert, while terrain also separated Un'Goro Crater from Thousand Needles, making the shrublands of Tanaris an excellent choice for the coalition.
After all, although the conference had settled the troop commitments, how the kingdoms' large regular armies would reach Kalimdor remained another problem, and Tandred happened to solve that difficulty for the coalition.
As the Alliance of Lordaeron's foremost naval power, Kul Tiras could demonstrate its superb maritime transport capabilities and enormous fleet to the entire continent even if Tandred did not wish to send troops into battle. With them handling transportation, everyone else could rest easy.
Only a handful of powers on the continent possessed naval warfare and shipping capabilities: the goblins, blood elves, night elves, and Kul Tiras. If the blood elves organized transportation, the Alliance, especially Dalaran, would naturally refuse. If the night elves organized it, the Horde, especially Quel'Thalas, would refuse as well. And the goblins? That was out of the question. If those little greenskins learned that transporting the troops was extra work without pay, they would be the first to turn hostile.
No matter how they counted, Kul Tiras alone could be considered the most neutral organization. Other powers, such as Theramore and Quel'Thalas, all had their own political leanings. Apart from the powers capable of transporting their own troops, Kul Tiras
