"How is that possible? Dalaran would never do that. Dalaran and Quel'Thalas are only partners." Aethas could barely get his words out, but he still denied it.
"I wouldn't be so sure." Patrick smiled meaningfully. "Prince Kael'thas was a member of the Council of Six, yet Garithos openly threw one of his own superiors into prison. If that had happened to any of the other five Kirin Tor councilors, it would have been hard to believe, wouldn't it?"

Would I be justified in suspecting that the Kirin Tor wanted to stand by and watch Kael'thas die, then install you as the leader of the high elves and send you back to Silvermoon City, using you to control all of Quel'Thalas and turn our High Elf Kingdom into a vassal of Dalaran?"
"If you became the regent of Quel'Thalas while also being a member of the Kirin Tor, Dalaran could easily use the other five councilors to keep you in check, then turn Quel'Thalas into a human kingdom." Patrick kept his eyes fixed on Aethas's and added one final question. "Am I right?"
Patrick's words rang out with conviction, but to the elves who had worked alongside the prince in Dalaran for years, every word cut deep. So the Kirin Tor had long since joined forces with a traitor among the high elves, secretly planning to find an excuse to execute them, while they had foolishly spent years working for the Kirin Tor in Dalaran. Quite a few elves laughed despite themselves, laughing at how endearingly foolish they had been.
"You have no evidence. This is slander." Aethas was growing anxious. All of this had gone beyond anything he had
