Everyone exchanged looks. They truly had no way to deal with this enormous black dragon.
As the one at the center of this affair, Onyxia wished she could die right then and there when she heard Patrick's words. Thinking of what her father had done, she knew that if she fell into the hands of their mortal enemies, the blue dragons, her life would absolutely be worse than death.
Weakened by massive blood loss and grievously wounded, Onyxia could not even kill herself. She lay on the ground, dragon blood still flowing continuously from her wounds. Upon touching the lava on the ground, the blood evaporated into steam in the intense heat.
Looking at Onyxia as she awaited her final judgement a short distance away, Altruis remarked, "The best solution would be to have her return to humanoid form. But judging by the situation, she's probably already resolved to die and won't become our prisoner."
Indeed, Patrick examined Onyxia's condition. The Black Dragon Princess lay motionless on the ground, looking every bit as though she were waiting to die. "Looks like she would rather die than submit. As she is now, she won't take humanoid form and become a prisoner."
"But that's all right." Patrick looked to the side. Azuregos, who had not found the fight satisfying enough, was still pounding the corpses of the black dragon whelps. "Azuregos, perhaps I'll leave the task of taking Onyxia back to Quel'Thalas to you."
"??" Azuregos looked bewildered. "How am I supposed to do that?"
Patrick opened a portal with his hand. He had Eldre'Dani's spatial coordinates, so he could simply return through a portal. "Simple. Since she's given up all hope, take her across the Great Sea and fly back to Quel'Thalas."
"Are you joking?" Azuregos's expression changed sharply at that.
