Tirion agreed as well. "Tell Mr. Cabrolon that the Silver Hand is ready. Now..."
"My lord, terrible news!" A messenger rushed in, interrupting Tirion. Dried blood still stained his clothes. "Wintergarde City was ambushed by a Scourge floating city. They may... may have been completely wiped out."
"What? What about Wintergarde Keep?" Abbendis could no longer sit still. Before they had even attacked the Scourge, Arthas had come knocking. "Unforgivable. We need to teach Arthas a lesson."
Demetria was considerably calmer. As the Scarlet Sage, her intelligence matched her strength. "What is the situation in Wintergarde City now?"
"Duke Nicolas Zverenhoff and Father Inigo may both have fallen in battle. Those damned Scourge suddenly poured out of the floating city and caught us off guard. We completely ignored Wintergarde Keep's existence. By the time we realized what was happening, Wintergarde City was already engulfed in flames."
"Do you know who the enemy commander is?" Tirion pressed his chin.
"The Skybreaker was accompanied by large numbers of frost wyrms and gargoyles. Most of the troops attacking us were familiar faces from the Eastern Plaguelands. We all suspect they were Kel'Thuzad's main force, and that the Skybreaker was Naxxramas."
The soldier's words stunned everyone. Back at Light's Hope Chapel, after Arthas's defeat, Naxxramas had left the Eastern Plaguelands along with the Lich King. Now he was stirring up trouble again.
Tirion made an immediate decision, abandoning any thought of resting his troops. He issued orders directly. "Duane, send word to the High Elves' encampment with Liasen. We need to request reinforcements. Then assemble our men at once. We need to save Wintergarde City."
Liasen looked even more unconcerned, for he had Patrick's node marker, which would allow Patrick to teleport everyone over from the floating city. "I will inform Lord Kabolon immediately."
