Medivh had already left, and the matter of rebuilding the Council of Tirisfal was more or less settled. Yet Kael'thas, Illidan, Maiev, and the others showed no intention of leaving, remaining quietly in their seats.
Patrick could see what was on their minds. What he had said to Medivh earlier had stirred up towering waves in Kael'thas and the others' hearts. Now that they were deliberately staying behind, they were surely waiting for Patrick to explain. "Everyone, is there something you want to know?"
"Tell me about my future." Ever since hearing Patrick and Medivh's conversation, Illidan had been full of questions about his own future.
"You too?" Patrick looked at Kael'thas. After seeing him nod, Patrick said slowly, "Then I'll start with a simple explanation."
"The School of Divination isn't particularly mysterious within the arcane system. The arcanists of Quel'Thalas have all studied divination to some extent." Patrick glanced at Caponia. Naturally, this renowned astromancer had studied divination spells.
Kael'thas nodded as well. He had also dabbled in the School of Divination. Back in Dalaran, Kael'thas Sunstrider had been one of the most renowned practitioners of School of Protection magic.
Although, as a High Elf prince, Kael'thas was quite accomplished in every school of magic, what stood out most was a magic shield he had improved upon, which no one in Dalaran had yet surpassed.
"Through energy ascension, I gathered vast amounts of arcane energy and converted it into temporal energy, then used School of Divination spells to glimpse future events."
"You saw our futures and clearly understood everything?" Illidan asked.
"No, I couldn't see them," Patrick denied outright. "With the strength I had at the time, seeing everything that would happen in the future clearly was absolutely impossible. The future I foresaw was nothing but an inscrutable void.
