Background / History
The Divine Court was established by Zhang Ye after he obtained the Primordial Divine Seal, an immortal artifact that enabled his cultivation to rise rapidly. After gathering support from Divine Ancestors, Zhang Ye founded the Divine Court and unified Kunlun Ancient Star. It subsequently spent one hundred thousand years plundering resources from other races, cultivating Divine Ancestor and Divine Nirvana experts, and attacking the Gui Xu Sect on Guixu Ancient Star 2127.
Zhang Luoxian later inherited the Primordial Divine Seal and became the second Divine Court Master. Under her tenure, the Court prepared the Calamity Transformation Plan; Di Juntian formally initiated it after succeeding her 2127.
By Di Juntian's era, the Court had become the ruling power of Kunlun Ancient Star. It pursued expansion into the Outer Divine Realms and Guixu Island while grooming its descendants—particularly Di Zhenshen, the True God—for greater power 1944 2053 2091.

Recruitment and Resources
Divine Ruins Battlefield
The Divine Ruins Battlefield is the Divine Court's primary means of selecting Divine Generals. It is located in the former Divine Ruins Ancient Realm, whose inhabitants were designated Sinners after the Heavenly Court-led invasion destroyed its major powers three hundred thousand years earlier 1597.
For the recorded battlefield, the Divine Court repaired part of the realm's origin, allowing participants to break through into the Divine Venerable Realm. The top three Divine Sons could choose a Heavenly Court; the remaining successful participants were assigned among the four courts 1601 1685 1686.
Divine Son Blessing
Only Divine Sons may receive the Divine Court Jade River, a descending stream of divine liquid containing Great Dao Runes. Its runes assist in cultivating Yin-Yang Divine Rules, and the number of realms gained from the blessing is used to judge a Divine Son's tier 1451.
Missions and Rewards
The Court issues missions to major Divine Sects, often offering cultivation resources such as Time God Stones as rewards. Its Night Luo Clan extermination missions are graded Normal, Difficult, Nightmare, and Hell-tier; accepted missions cannot be abandoned 1302 1314.
- Divine Court Iron Token — Records a mission holder's progress and is used to prevent fraud 1315.
- Divine Court Arena — An arena where bloodlines are prohibited; combatants rely on God-tier cultivation methods and Divine Bodies instead 1358 1359.
- Divine Ruins Token — Grants access to the Divine Ruins Battlefield; achieving a ranking permits entry into the Divine Court 1547.
Policies and Objectives
- The Court ordered the extermination of ancient martial artists on the Xuanhuang Continent to prevent the reincarnation of Human Emperor Ye Chuang, whom it considered a threat 1285.
- It regards the Void of Destiny as a chaotic existence unaccepted by heaven and earth, issuing kill orders against Lu Ren after identifying him as such 1547 1717.
- It seeks absolute control and is hostile to unpredictable prodigies, having previously targeted individuals whose potential threatened its plans 1633.
- It severed numerous Paths to Heaven after other races rejected its attempt to establish absolute control with the Six Halls, trapping many races below the Outer Heavens 1851.
- It controls World Origins; according to Gui Jianshou, a cultivator can only enter the Divine Ancestor Realm by pledging allegiance to the Court and gaining access to such resources 2014.
- Its concealed long-term goals are to seize the Immortal Slaying Reincarnation Sword, unify the Guixu Star Domain, and cultivate True God experts 2127.
- The Calamity Transformation Plan was not caused by spiritual-energy depletion as publicly presented. Its actual purpose was to reduce the number of martial artists, strengthen the Court's descendants through inherited bloodlines, and facilitate the eventual conquest of the Guixu Star Domain 2127.
Territorial Expansion
The Court used the Four Heavenly Courts to conquer the Undead Realm and incorporate more than a thousand Outer Divine Realms into the Second Heaven 1944. It later planned to construct a teleportation array in the Undead Realm to support further conquest 1939.
For hundreds of thousands of years, the Court secretly employed formation masters to open a passage to Guixu Island. When the passage opened ninety years early, Di Juntian ordered Divine Ancestors to enter for scouting and tempering before a full invasion 2090 2091.
Conflict with Lu Ren
The Divine Court initially elevated Lu Ren through its Divine Son system, granting him the Jade River blessing and allowing him to compete in the Divine Ruins Battlefield 1451. After he ranked first, Lu Ren joined the Lingxiao Heavenly Court, became Wuxu Divine Emperor's disciple, and received the status of a one-star Divine General 1685 1717.
Despite this, the Court had previously ordered Lu Ren's death because of his identity as the Void of Destiny. Wuxu Divine Emperor persuaded the Court to defer action because Han Taiji was considered the greater threat 1717.
As Lu Ren learned of the Calamity Transformation's true purpose and the Court's control over World Origins, he began organizing resistance. He ultimately established the God Slaying Alliance, uniting major Guixu Star Domain factions under the goal of eradicating the Divine Court 2127 2252.
Downfall and Occupation
The God Slaying Alliance defeated the Heavenly Consort and the Elder God Pavilion's elders. Elder Jin Qiu sacrificed himself to break the Court's Grand Formation, enabling the alliance to enter the Divine Court 2265.
Lu Ren led the alliance into the Divine Heaven Palace and occupied the institution while awaiting Di Juntian's return. The Divine Guards dispersed, and a projection of Di Juntian warned that he would return and conquer the opposition 2265.
Di Juntian later reappeared and ordered all Divine Guards to return to their posts and join him in eliminating the God Slaying Alliance on Guixu Island 2276.
