Background / History

Yun Qingyao was the Saintess of Jiangyun Kingdom and an elder of Qingyun Sect. She had formerly been a Ghost Sword Sect successor alongside Gu Yifan before leaving the sect. At Qingyun Sect, she accepted Lu Ren as her disciple despite his apparent Scrap Bloodline and openly committed herself to ensuring that he would live well, regardless of whether others considered him talented or worthless. 9 27 32

Her status as Saintess placed her under political pressure. She was intended to marry Wu Tianqiong, the Thirteenth Prince of Shenwu Kingdom, and later learned that her Divine Dragon Bloodline was central to the ambitions of powerful factions.
