At those words, Lin Yoriichi felt a sudden stir.
He knew whom Kagaya Ubuyashiki meant.
Someone who lived in Asakusa and had dealt with Yoriichi Tsugikuni could only be Miss Tamayo.
She had personally witnessed how Yoriichi Tsugikuni had put Muzan Kibutsuji utterly in his place.
Moreover, one of the reasons Yoriichi Tsugikuni had been expelled from the Demon Slayer Corps was precisely that he had let Miss Tamayo go.
Perhaps Miss Tamayo really did know where Yoriichi Tsugikuni was buried.
As he pondered this, Lin Yoriichi heard Kagaya Ubuyashiki say:
"You can go to Asakusa in Tokyo Prefecture and visit Miss Tamayo."
After those words, Lin Yoriichi and Kagaya Ubuyashiki exchanged a knowing glance.
Kagaya Ubuyashiki understood that Lin Yoriichi knew of Miss Tamayo's existence and knew that he was in contact with her.
Of course, as mentioned before, Kagaya Ubuyashiki would never press Lin Yoriichi about why he knew these things.
He simply continued in a firm voice:
"I will contact Miss Tamayo beforehand and arrange how you are to meet."
"Although it may be somewhat difficult, I will make it happen!"
Naturally, Lin Yoriichi knew why Kagaya Ubuyashiki had said this would be somewhat "difficult."
Miss Tamayo was a demon, whereas Kagaya Ubuyashiki represented the Demon Slayer Corps.
Even though they had remained in contact, arranging a meeting still posed a considerable risk to Miss Tamayo.
After all, no one could guarantee with absolute certainty that this "meeting" would not be a "trap" the Demon Slayer Corps had set for Miss Tamayo.
Kagaya Ubuyashiki seemed to see what Lin Yoriichi was thinking and smiled.
"Mr. Yoriichi, persuading Miss Tamayo is my responsibility."
"I will certainly accomplish what you need my help with."
With that, Kagaya Ubuyashiki had his son bring over a leather bag.
He opened the bag himself, revealing silver dollars and banknotes from the Taisho era.
"This modest sum is for your expenses on the road, Mr. Yoriichi."
As Lin Yoriichi accepted the leather bag, he felt almost dazed.
He kept feeling that Kagaya Ubuyashiki would say, "I have quite a bit of family wealth," at any moment.
At the same time, he marveled that it was no wonder the members of the Demon Slayer Corps respected Kagaya Ubuyashiki so much.
Although serving in the Demon Slayer Corps was dangerous, the "boss" treated people kindly, the pay was extremely high, and free room, board, and medical care were provided.
Then there was Muzan Kibutsuji's side.
Not only could you be hunted down by the Demon Slayer Corps, you could even be tortured to death by the boss himself.
There was not a penny in wages, and you had to find your own food and lodging.
So Muzan Kibutsuji really was a scumbag of a boss!
After reflecting on this, Lin Yoriichi suddenly felt rather embarrassed-
How was I supposed to get to Asakusa in Tokyo Prefecture?
Kagaya Ubuyashiki noticed Lin Yoriichi's embarrassment and smiled.
"I can arrange for Kyojuro Rengoku to accompany you. I will also assign Kakushi to handle your logistics."
Naturally, Lin Yoriichi had no objection to this arrangement.
His current fidelity was 20%, so he could definitely kill any demon below the Twelve Kizuki with a single slash.
But if he suddenly encountered an Upper Rank, or several Lower Ranks surrounded him, there would still be some risk.
Moreover, he might very well come face-to-face with Upper Rank One, Kokushibo, at Yoriichi Tsugikuni's burial site.
With Kyojuro Rengoku accompanying him, Lin Yoriichi was confident that even if they could not win, both of them could escape unscathed.
Kagaya Ubuyashiki waited patiently for Lin Yoriichi to finish thinking before speaking.
"If there are no issues, let us go out together."
Lin Yoriichi nodded and left the room with Kagaya Ubuyashiki.
On the way to the courtyard, Lin Yoriichi asked:
"Speaking of which, how is the Kamado family doing?"
Kagaya Ubuyashiki smiled gently.
"I had the Kakushi take them straight to the Butterfly Mansion, where they underwent very thorough examinations. We confirmed that they were all fine."
"Originally, I thought they could simply stay at the Butterfly Mansion without any worries."
"But Mrs. Kamado insisted on working at the Butterfly Mansion with her children, saying that only then could she feel at ease."
"There is a child in the Kamado family named Tanjiro. He is very hardworking, and everyone likes him very much."
"Oh, and Mrs. Kamado now knows everything that happened. She asked when you would return to the Butterfly Mansion, as she wishes to thank you in person."
Lin Yoriichi smiled at this too, but soon grew somewhat embarrassed.
What had possessed me to blurt out, "Madam, you wouldn't want..." back then?
After reaching the courtyard, Kagaya Ubuyashiki looked around at everyone and said:
"Giyu, I have read your report."
"You are quite right. Demons do not normally gather together. There is very likely something there that attracts them."
"Therefore, I need you and Murata to continue patrolling this area. Can you do that?"
Giyu Tomioka immediately replied, "Yes."
Murata also said excitedly, "Master, of course we can!"
As Lin Yoriichi watched the two accept their orders, he recalled the place where he had encountered the demons, only to feel a strange sense of déjà vu.
The gathering demons and the architectural style there seemed to fit a certain storyline in the first part of the original work.
He just did not know which demon from the first part would be unlucky enough to run into Giyu Tomioka...
Just then, Kagaya Ubuyashiki turned to Lin Yoriichi.
"I have another special mission that I need Mr. Lin to carry out."
"In addition, I would like to entrust Kyojuro Rengoku with carrying out this mission alongside Mr. Yoriichi."
"Kyojuro Rengoku, what do you think?"
At those words, all the Hashira present were somewhat stunned.
What sort of special mission required someone who had not yet formally joined the Demon Slayer Corps to undertake it, and even required a Hashira to accompany him personally?
Kagaya Ubuyashiki offered no explanation, merely looking at Kyojuro Rengoku with a gentle expression.
Feeling Kagaya Ubuyashiki's gaze, Kyojuro Rengoku immediately straightened and answered loudly, with boundless cheer:
"No objections from me!"
His dazzling red-and-gold hair swayed slightly in the sunlight, making him look like an owl hooting at the top of its lungs.
Although he, too, realized that something was unusual about this, Oyakata-sama choosing him from among the Hashira was undoubtedly a sign of trust!
Of course I cannot betray Oyakata-sama's trust!
Lin Yoriichi suddenly sensed someone looking at him.
He activated the Transparent World and, sure enough, discovered that Sanemi Shinazugawa was staring fixedly in his direction.
Lin Yoriichi could not help sighing.
All right, barring any surprises, Sanemi Shinazugawa is going to question me again.
Yet Sanemi Shinazugawa's words took Lin Yoriichi by surprise.
"Master, I am very sorry, but I must say these few words!"
Sanemi Shinazugawa's tone was earnest.
"Although you have not explained the details of the mission, Master, the fact that one of those selected is a Hashira means there is considerable risk involved."
"Having an 'outsider' who has not even formally joined the Demon Slayer Corps carry out a special mission like this..."
"Since you are willing to trust this fellow, Master, I will not question it too much."
"But to ensure the mission goes smoothly, I request permission to take part!"
