Xie Lin slept soundly all night and woke at half past ten in the morning.
He and Lu Zhenzhen hadn't left the night before, simply staying over at Wu Xinyou's place.
Yawning, he headed for the bathroom. The moment he opened the bedroom door, a figure drifted past like a wandering ghost.
Lu Zhenzhen had dark circles under both eyes, her steps unsteady and her gaze unfocused.
"Morning, sis-in-law!"
"...Morning?"
A cheerful laugh came from the dining room.
Wu Xinyou was unpacking takeout, her eyes curved in a smile.
"Go wash up and have breakfast. Zhenzhen stayed up all night and scared herself half to death with the video she edited."
"Yikes! You couldn't handle that? Let me take a look in a bit and see what's going on."
An hour later, two and a half people sat before the computer, their expressions solemn.
The half-person, Lu Zhenzhen, stayed huddled behind Xie Lin, her voice trembling.
"Has it started? Has it started?"
The moment Lu Ye walked in, he saw his Alpha sister clinging to Xie Lin, occasionally sneaking a glance at the computer screen.
His face darkened at once. He strode over and hauled her up, clenching his jaw in anger.
"Haven't I told you Alphas and Omegas need boundaries? Stay away from my wife!"
Lu Zhenzhen was a mess of tears and snot.
"But I'm really scared, bro..."
Jin Tiancheng walked around to Wu Xinyou, knelt on one knee, and examined his knees.
They had applied medicine the night before, but the swelling was still severe today. Fortunately, they were no longer oozing blood and didn't look quite so alarming.
"They're much better. They don't hurt as much."
"Do you still care what happens to the Wu family?"
"Huh?"
Wu Xinyou looked startled, not understanding what he meant.
