The camera settled on a sofa covered in plush toys.
The man's black hair was neatly styled, a few stray locks falling across his forehead without covering his icy blue eyes. Their outer corners tilted slightly upward, his irises like a frozen sea.
Yet the presence of the young man beside him softened his cold, distant face considerably. Sitting among the plush toys, he looked strangely at home.
The young man pressed close beside him had long, gray-white hair, half tied into a low ponytail, and strikingly beautiful features. He held a little white lop-eared rabbit plush.
In the armchair opposite them, a girl wore a sky-blue maxi dress and held an enormous notebook open in her hands. Her right hand rested on her knee, and a large red birthmark covered part of her left arm.
"Shall we start with the first question?" the girl asked, lightly pressing her fingertips against the notebook.
"What are your names?"
At those words, the two men, who had been ready to answer, both gave her the look from the air-conditioner repairman meme.
The girl cleared her throat. "It's part of the procedure."
"Fu Hanchuan."
"Wen Yanyu."
The two answered.
"What was the last thing you did that upset the other person?" the girl asked.
At the question, Wen Yanyu's hand paused on the lop-eared rabbit plush. He spoke with a hint of guilt. "Last week, I stayed up late gaming and didn't notice I had a fever. He came to get me to go to bed, but I wanted to finish the match. Then I collapsed as soon as it ended."
"It took me ages to coax him out of being angry."
At this, he secretly glanced up at Fu Hanchuan. Finding the other man staring at him, he hurriedly looked away again.
