Bombsight and Little Headliner faced Deadpool after he pursued them into a New York street. Deadpool killed the taxi driver he had claimed to spare, then demanded that they lower their shield.
Bombsight defeated Deadpool in a brutal fistfight, but Deadpool regenerated and stabbed him from behind as he returned to Little Headliner. Bombsight died in her arms, while Deadpool lamented that Bombsight had not managed to call Lynn.
Deadpool attacked Little Headliner and claimed Lynn could not save her, but Lynn and the others arrived and revealed Bombsight was unharmed. Lynn decided there was no point negotiating with Deadpool, who was left pleading for mercy when Buddy produced a Wand.
Lynn and his allies killed Deadpool and confirmed his corpse showed no sign of regeneration, then prepared to leave for Huaxia. Their relief ended when another Deadpool appeared on a rooftop, taunted them, and escaped through a spatial rift.
After realizing another Deadpool had come from a parallel universe, Lynn returned to the Long Island Estate with his family and prepared for the danger ahead. John injected Original Compound V, endured a violent transformation, and launched himself into the night sky.
After John returned from space with a meteorite for Lynn, Lynn organized the household’s preparations against threats from across the multiverse. He assigned Black Noir the samurai swords and ordered Buddy to make instructional videos teaching Avada Kedavra and other curses, planning to distribute them to trusted fighters.
Deadpool returned from Lynn’s world with a video, and Big John watched it and discovered that Lynn was alive and living with a family. Overcome with relief and eager to see Lynn, Big John confronted Deadpool for going there without him.
Deadpool recruited Homelander variants across parallel universes by showing them footage of Lynn’s happy family, while Big John agreed to wait before meeting Lynn. Lynn and John traveled into Huaxia and headed for Mount Longhu, where the chapter left them riding a bus in silence.
Lynn and John traveled to Mount Longhu hoping to learn how to control the Qi within John. After a Huaxia supernatural-affairs agent reported their request, Mount Longhu agreed to meet them, though whether they could learn anything remained uncertain.
Lynn and John visited the Celestial Master Mansion on Mount Longhu to seek help controlling John’s enhanced power. Zhang Zhiwei agreed to teach them a basic Qi cultivation method and began guiding them in meditation.
Lynn and John trained in meditation under Zhang Zhiwei, who guided them through circulating qi and praised John’s aptitude. As they continued practicing that night, an old man in a wheelchair arrived and pointed out that Lynn could not quiet his own mind despite urging John to be patient.
Lynn took Old Tian’s advice to stop worrying so much and agreed to let the young people handle two investigations back home while he and John remained in Huaxia to practice. The team set off to pursue Torpedo at sea and investigate Private Angel at Red River Orphanage.
Lynn and John left the Celestial Master Mansion to explore Mount Longhu’s tourist street, where a con artist and his accomplice engineered a runaway handcart. John stopped it before it could hit anyone, while the con artist attacked Lynn.
Lynn and John stopped a Quanxing attacker on Mount Longhu, prompting his accomplice to warn their group that the two visitors were Homelander and Vought director Lynn. Shen Chong and the other Quanxing members then considered how to approach the powerful outsiders, deciding to seek a deal rather than recruit them outright.
The Four Madmen agreed to approach Lynn and John with an offer to borrow Qi, while Xia He warned them not to provoke the pair. Back at the courtyard, Lynn worried that Quanxing could target John's emotions and family, and his anxiety disrupted his practice as John noticed something was wrong.
Lynn and John left the Celestial Master Mansion to clear their heads, but Quanxing’s Four Madmen attacked them with an emotion-manipulating technique. They recognized the influence and moved toward an open square while the attackers remained nearby.
Lynn and John resisted the Twelve-Labor Emotion Formation and confronted Shen Chong, who tried to exploit Lynn’s fear for his family. After Lynn rejected his offer, John struck at Gao Ning and knocked him unconscious.
John and Lynn defeated the Four Madmen, then John admitted he wanted Lynn to trust the others with more responsibility and asked what he feared. Lynn described a lonely childhood and his failed attempt to protect a student, ending with a cryptic account of going to a rooftop to confide in the evening breeze.
John suspected Lynn’s story about a lonely child was actually Lynn’s own past, and secretly used Ashley’s contacts to find a matching child in Huaxia. After confirming the address and family details fit, John invited Lynn on an outing without revealing what he had discovered.
Lynn and John visited the neighborhood where Lynn had grown up, and Lynn watched his childhood self endure his parents’ fighting and blame at school. When Little Lynn was mocked in the corridor, Lynn followed him instead of staying back.
Lynn and John protected Little Lynn from older students and reassured him that he was not to blame for his parents’ arguments or his poor test result. After Little Lynn returned to class, John went to speak with the teachers about the bullying.
John arranged protection and long-term care for Little Lynn, ensuring he could live safely with his grandparents. Watching the family reunite helped Lynn face old pain, and he stayed with John rather than pretending he was fine and returning to the mountain.
Kevin, Reggie, and Charlie tracked Torpedo to a damaged cargo ship where seven sailors were held hostage. Reggie found the hostages, but Torpedo ruptured the hull and seawater flooded their compartment.
