"Who!!!"
"Who the hell is this cameraman?!"
"How could he get shut outside with an opportunity this good?!"
"Does he have any idea how many people are waiting to see this?!"
Staring at the tightly shut wooden door on the screen, the director flew into a rage. With nothing to vent his anger on, he could only get up and jump around elsewhere, working off his fury through exercise.
Watching the director's face turn red with anger, a crew member beside him glanced sympathetically at the screen. "Director, I really don't think you can blame the cameraman. The Fu Family's young heir is far more athletic than most people."
"You saw it just now. He jumped down from the second floor without batting an eye and went straight after Chi An without even pausing to absorb the impact."
"And that's not all. He even ran back carrying Chi An and went straight up to the third floor. The cameraman couldn't keep up with him. What ordinary person could do that?"
It was the truth, but so what?
Right now, the director only cared about his big scoop!
With that scoop added in, his fame would definitely rise another notch. Then why would he ever have to worry about investors?!
Inside the room, Fu Yanci eagerly set Chi An on the table, bracing his hands on either side of him and trapping him in his arms. His breathing was a little rapid, his eyes filled with longing and possessiveness.
"What were you running for? Hmm?" His voice was low and hoarse, carrying a hint of displeasure and accusation.
Then he pressed his entire face into the crook of Chi An's neck and breathed in his scent deeply, as though he wanted to engrave it into his heart. His hands moved from the table to Chi An's waist, gripping him tightly so he couldn't escape.
"Like a dog. Done sniffing yet?" Chi An tried to push him away, but Fu Yanci seemed to have lost all reason. No matter how hard he pushed, he couldn't budge him at all.
"No. I can't get enough. A lifetime wouldn't be enough." Fu Yanci's voice carried determination and persistence, and his gaze grew even more heated.
With that, he clamped down on Chi An's waist and pulled him forward in his arms. Chi An's face pressed straight against Fu Yanci's chest, where he could feel his powerful heartbeat.
"Why didn't you tell me you came looking for me that day?"
"I'd already planned to propose to you, but the moment I got back, all I saw was that sour face of yours. I didn't even know how I'd offended you."
His chin rested on Chi An's shoulder, making his voice sound a little muffled. Fu Yanci looked through the window at the large tree outside. There was a nest among its branches, where a female bird was diligently incubating her eggs. Beside her, a male bird carefully fed her the food he'd brought in his beak, then quickly turned and flew away, apparently to look for more food.
"If I hadn't gone, how would I have known my name had become so overused?"
"Thanks to you, I could call my name at any stray dog on the street, and it'd come trotting over to wag its tail at me, right?"
His tone was mocking. Chi An only wanted to get out of Fu Yanci's embrace as quickly as possible, and as he spoke, he didn't forget to push hard against Fu Yanci's arms.
But before he could push him away, Fu Yanci suddenly raised his voice. "I'm a dog! I'm a dog! I'm your dog and yours alone!"
Then he let out a string of barks, as though he really had become a loyal puppy. His tone revealed a trace of urgency and unease. "Don't push me away! I'll be your dog and yours alone!"
"It's not like I can't change. If I've done something wrong, tell me, and I'll change. Can you please not just say we're breaking up without telling me anything?"
His voice was filled with helplessness and grievance. Only when he held Chi An did Fu Yanci feel that this person belonged to him.
"Do you know how I felt when I got home and you weren't anywhere in the house?"
"I've never pursued anyone like this in my life. Can you really not see how much I like you?"
At that, Fu Yanci slowly loosened his arms around Chi An and looked earnestly into his eyes, his gaze revealing sincerity and deep affection.
Meeting Fu Yanci's gaze, Chi An's eyes showed not the slightest ripple. His gaze fell on the corner of Fu Yanci's eye, and his brow furrowed slightly. "Wipe the gunk from your eyes before reciting your lines."
Fu Yanci: ...
The intimate atmosphere shattered completely. Fu Yanci's cold, handsome face instantly crumpled. He covered his cheeks with both hands, his voice distraught and helpless. "It took me so much effort to learn all that! Couldn't you let me finish?!"
He stared wide-eyed, his tone full of resentment and helplessness. "Couldn't you let me have my way just once?"
Looking at Chi An's expressionless face, he switched to a fawning, ingratiating expression and said softly, "Wifey~ sweetheart~~~"
"Give me a chance!"
"I definitely won't
call those dogs by your name again!"
"Really!"
"And I really never said anything bad about you to those dogs!"
"I swear!"
Fu Yanci solemnly raised three fingers toward the sky. "If I've ever badmouthed my wife to a dog, may I never get to kiss my wife again!"
Not bothering with Fu Yanci, Chi An got down from the table, walked straight to his suitcase, opened it, and began sorting through its contents one item at a time.
"Let me, let me! Go have some water and rest over there. Once I've made the bed, you can go to sleep."
He took Chi An's hand and had him sit in a nearby chair, then scanned the bedroom. Not seeing a single teapot, he said, "Sit here for a bit. I'll go downstairs and bring you up a kettle."
Chi An paid Fu Yanci no mind. Besides, he really was sleepy now. After he started dating Fu Yanci, he'd developed a habit of taking afternoon naps. He'd been busy all day today and hadn't had a proper rest yet.
His vision gradually blurred. Chi An adjusted his sitting position, then dropped his head onto the table and fell sound asleep.
Meanwhile, the moment Fu Yanci opened the door, a crowd appeared in his field of view. Below them were Lin Yuxuan and Song Wenjing, lying on the floor because they hadn't managed to dodge out of the way in time.
Fu Yanci said, "What are you doing?"
"Ah... well... I came to borrow a comb. My hair's full of dust, and I want to wash it."
He scratched his head guiltily, his voice growing louder until he sounded entirely justified by the end. "Hurry up and give me a comb. I need to finish washing my hair, or I'll miss mealtime."
"Yeah, Yanci. Wenjing's been asking everyone for a comb. Do you have one here?"
Lin Yuxuan got up from the floor without a change in expression and picked up where Song Wenjing had left off, as though nothing had happened.
[Do you seriously take the young heir for an idiot? Have you forgotten what his temper's like?!]
[Where's Chi An? Where's my Chi An? Where did a whole grown man go? He just up and vanished?!]
[Fu, you dog! Give me back Chi An! A whole grown man went into your room with you and disappeared! Give me back Chi An!]
[Do you dare open that door a little wider? Man, are you afraid I'll notice something? Are you two having an affair behind my back?!]
Before you continue
