Background / History
Family and Education
Fu Yanci is the son of Fu Sui and Bai Qinghe, and the grandson of Fu Huaizhou. His father chairs the Fu Corporation, which is identified as belonging to Z Country’s richest man. By twenty-five, Fu Yanci already has three companies under his own name, excluding their branches 32 151 155.
He is the only child of his generation in the Fu Family’s direct line. His parents accept his sexuality; when discussing succession, he proposes finding a promising child from a collateral branch and adopting them as his successor. The adoption remains a plan in the supplied chapters 130.
Fu Yanci was close to Song Wenjing before going abroad for university. Shen Mo and Jiang Yichuan were also his friends in high school 159.
Meeting and Dating Chi An
Fu Yanci falls for Chi An at first sight during their university years in M Country. Watching from a tree, he sees Chi An confronted by more than a dozen people and is struck by his appearance and fierce response. During their later return to MG, he admits that he had intended to intervene if anyone injured Chi An’s face 104 173.
He deliberately arranges further encounters and persistently pursues Chi An. Although Chi An later jokes about dating him to cure his eccentricity, his private reflections establish that he accepted because he was genuinely attracted to Fu Yanci and wanted to test whether their relationship could last 39 181.
During their relationship, Fu Yanci handles cooking, travel arrangements, and much of Chi An’s daily care. He also buys and prepares an entire island after Chi An casually suggests living on one together 23 24.
Separation and Reunion on the Variety Show
Their relationship has ended by the time they reunite on the family variety show. Fu Yanci participates at Song Wenjing’s invitation, but repeatedly follows Chi An instead of staying with his assigned teammate. Their familiarity soon attracts viewers’ attention, and their dating history becomes public during filming 9 15 17 37.
Fu Yanci initially refuses to accept the breakup. Chi An confronts him about his temper, excessive possessiveness, and desire to confine him, making clear that affection alone is not enough reason to remain together. Afraid of losing him, Fu Yanci promises to change 55.
Chi An sets concrete conditions: control his temper, stop swearing at others, respect physical boundaries, and stop calling him his wife while they are separated. Fu Yanci works toward these conditions, though his jealousy and threatening remarks do not disappear immediately 56 61 83.
At their decisive conversation, Fu Yanci explains his efforts to regulate himself and discusses treatment his parents sought for him. Chi An acknowledges his progress and agrees to date him again 109.

During their visit to M Country, Fu Yanci earns Chi Ye’s approval through an extended business discussion. He also confronts Emily and Eric over their interference in his relationship with Chi An; Emily points a gun at him before the confrontation is resolved. The families subsequently agree to present the incident publicly as a test of his devotion 172 180.
After marriage, his enthusiasm for public acknowledgment remains conspicuous. He fills his office, private elevator, and corridor with wedding photographs, prompting Chi An to remind him that employees also use the workplace 186.
Appearance
- Height: 192 centimeters, noticeably taller than the 180-centimeter Chi An 34.
- Build: Broad shoulders, narrow waist, and long legs; he deliberately trains his chest muscles after Chi An comments on them 80 82.
- Face: Described as handsome, with a defined jawline. Even at their first meeting, Chi An finds his appearance striking 32 49 104 181.
- Expressions: Frequently switches from a cold or intimidating look to an aggrieved, affectionate one when addressing Chi An 16 26 27.
Personality
Fu Yanci is shamelessly persistent, verbally outrageous, and highly conscious of his own advantages. He argues with livestream viewers, boasts about his relationship, and uses exaggerated helplessness to obtain Chi An’s attention. His mother taught him that protecting one’s pride is less important than making a sincere effort to pursue someone 31 49 51.
His devotion also has a controlling side. Early in filming, his impatience frightens a staff member into tears, and he treats other people’s proximity to Chi An as a threat. Even ordinary separation can unsettle him: he carries Chi An’s entire chair to the kitchen so he can keep watching him, and panics when he wakes in a hotel to find him gone 26 50 76 83.
Beneath the theatrics, he is attentive and protective. He shields Chi An during a fall, notices when he needs rest, and habitually handles practical comforts. His later development centers on controlling his reactions and recognizing that caring for Chi An does not mean making every decision or shouldering every responsibility himself 34 77 104 177.
