The manager quickly set out drinks and a fruit platter. "Please wait a moment," he said respectfully, then quietly withdrew, not daring to disturb him any further.

Less than a minute after Solomon sat down on the sofa, the private room's door opened again. The manager walked in, followed by a male Supe who looked somewhat nervous.

The male Supe stood awkwardly at the doorway, nervousness and admiration in his eyes, and hurriedly said:

"Hello, Mr. Translucent! My name is Jiesang. I'm a fan, and I've always really admired you. It's an honor to have the chance to help you. Just say the word-what should I do?"

Solomon slowly rose, walked behind Jiesang, and gently patted his shoulder, his tone casual and flat.

"Relax. I'm not going to do anything to you, just knock you out."

Before he finished speaking, Solomon flattened his hand into a blade and struck hard at the back of Jiesang's neck before he could react.

Jiesang grunted, went limp, and instantly passed out, collapsing straight to the floor.

Sound Mimicry: Can imitate any sound heard, whether human or animal.

Trash superpower. Strength, defense, and hearing each increased a tiny bit.

Soon, the manager brought in another Supe. After a brief introduction, Solomon knocked him out with another clean chop.

Just as his irritation mounted, the manager's voice sounded at an opportune moment:

"Mr. Translucent, there's only one left!" With that, he stepped aside and ushered the last person in.

Solomon looked up, and the moment he saw the man, his brow furrowed slightly.

The man looked a little familiar, as though he had seen him somewhere before, but he could not place him.

The man stepped forward on his own, wearing a somewhat reserved smile, and introduced himself:

"Hello, Mr. Translucent. I'm Matthew Calbert."

Matthew Calbert?

Solomon repeated the name in his mind, his brow furrowing further.

The name meant nothing to him, but the more he looked at that face, the more familiar it seemed, as though it had appeared in the plot.

"Do you work for Vought?"

Matthew nodded and hurriedly said:

"Yes, sir. I'm a research assistant in Vought's Research and Development Department."

The Research and Development Department?

Something stirred in Solomon's mind. He did remember the Research and Development Department; there had indeed been plot points involving it. But as for Matthew himself, he still had no clue.

I can't remember at all!

Whatever. Just hit him!

Solomon could not be bothered to rack his brains any longer. He quickly walked behind Matthew and, just as before, raised his hand and chopped at the back of his neck.

He used about the same force as he had on the others, only a little more than he would use against an ordinary Supe.

But this time, something unexpected happened.

Matthew grunted and collapsed limply to the floor. Solomon's strike had actually broken his neck, leaving his head hanging limply to one side in an alarming sight.

Solomon froze, instinctively withdrawing his hand, his face filled with astonishment.

I didn't even use that much force. How is this guy's defense so weak?

Super-speed healing +1: Healing speed is doubled. Severed limbs can be rapidly regrown. Pain perception can be actively blocked.

My healing speed doubled outright!

And severed limbs regrow even faster!

Although Kimiko could also regrow severed limbs, the growth rate was absurdly slow, making recovery in a short time impossible.

Matthew's ability, however, actually allowed rapid regrowth, clearly making it far stronger than Kimiko's.
