A villa in Lijiang Residential Community. (Sponsored by Angel International Group)

The living room's floor-to-ceiling windows stood open, and the evening breeze swept in with a chill from the direction of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, stirring the white sheer curtains.

Outside, the city's scattered lights twinkled in the distance, while the community's quiet greenery and artificial lake lay nearby.

Moonlight reflected off the lake. Occasionally, a night bird skimmed past, tracing a fleeting silver streak across the water.

Yan emerged from her bath wearing a loose white T-shirt and light-colored hot pants. Her long golden hair lay wet against her shoulders, water still dripping from its ends.

She walked barefoot across the wooden floor and sat cross-legged on the living room sofa, wrapping her arms around her knees and resting her chin on them, curling into a ball.

An untouched glass of red wine sat on the glass coffee table, its deep red surface glowing softly in the moonlight.

She stared at the wine for a long time, but her mind was filled with the scene of her kissing Qin Feng that day.

"What is he doing now...?"

Yan muttered and, as if possessed, activated the Eye of Insight.

A faint white glow gathered before her eyes as streams of data swept rapidly through Blue Star's dark plane.

She silently recalled Qin Feng's energy signature, preparing to pinpoint his location.

Blank.

There was nothing.

Yan frowned.

She scanned again, expanding her search from Blue Star's surface to near-Earth orbit, then to every corner of the Milky Way Galaxy.

But Qin Feng seemed to have vanished into thin air, disappearing without a trace along with all his subordinates.

She deactivated the Eye of Insight, a flicker of annoyance crossing her golden eyes.

"That bastard!"

Yan slapped the sofa's armrest, her voice carrying a hurt she herself had not noticed.

"He took advantage of me and then hid, without even leaving any contact information. How am I supposed to find him?"

Fuming, she buried her face in her knees and let out a long breath.

Just then, a gentle, pleasant voice sounded beside her ear, carrying a hint of languid teasing.

"Oh? Who has upset our Yan?"

Yan's body went rigid.

"Queen Kaisa?"

A golden outline slowly appeared before her.

Kaisa had not arrived in person; her figure was a projected hologram.

She sat on her throne with her cheek resting on her right hand, a meaningful, almost-smile on her stunning face.

"Queen Kaisa, did you need me for something?"

Yan's voice steadied, though it still held a trace of the embarrassment of being caught.

Kaisa chuckled, giving her a meaningful look.

"Nothing important, really. I just wanted to ask what you thought of the Galaxy Power."

"But judging by the state you were in just now, I seem to have my answer already."

"It seems this Galaxy Power really does have some charm, to have our Yan so infatuated."

At those words, Yan's face instantly flushed.

"Queen Kaisa, you've misunderstood."

She waved her hands urgently, speaking much faster than usual.

"I was just thinking about something else."

"Something else?"

Kaisa raised an eyebrow slightly. "What was it? Let's hear it."

"I... I..."

Yan opened her mouth.

But when those words of explanation reached her lips, not a single one came out.

Watching her stammer, Kaisa's smile deepened.

"All right, all right. Do you really think you can hide those little thoughts from me?"

Her tone held the understanding of someone who had been there. "Before this, I was a little worried you wouldn't think much of Ge Xiaolun. After all, that boy really is still rather green."

"Now it seems I was worrying unnecessarily."

"Wait, wait."

Yan abruptly raised her head, her golden eyes full of astonishment.

"Queen Kaisa, who did you just say?"

"Ge Xiaolun? That goofy loser?"

"How could I possibly like him!"

At this, Kaisa's expression froze.

"What's going on?"

"Weren't you just thinking about him? Why have you suddenly changed your mind?"

Seeing Queen Kaisa's misunderstanding deepen, Yan hurriedly rose from the sofa and explained urgently, "Queen Kaisa, I do have some feelings for the Galaxy Power, but it isn't Ge Xiaolun!"

She took a deep breath, her expression turning serious.

"There are now two Galaxy Powers on Blue Star. The one I was thinking about was the other one. His name is Qin Feng."

"What do you mean there are two Galaxy Powers?"

Kaisa abruptly rose from her throne.

Driven by her will, the Sacred Knowledge Vault went into full operation and began scanning Blue Star's dark plane.

A few seconds later, Kaisa frowned.

There really is a second Galaxy Power!

Where did he come from?

Could the Super God Academy have cobbled him together?

It doesn't look like it.

The Super God Academy doesn't have the resources to create another chief god-level dark plane.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have chosen to cooperate with us back then.

Besides, this man has a considerable force around him.

"Yan, you've interacted with him. Do you think he'll pose a danger to the angels?"

At the question, Yan paused.

Remembering the way Qin Feng looked at her, Yan felt he was quite dangerous.

But that was a different kind of danger.

"I don't know."

Yan answered honestly, "Queen Kaisa, Qin Feng feels very mysterious to me. I can't see through him."

"So he won't become an enemy of the angels?"

Yan fell silent for a few seconds before finally answering softly, "Probably not~"

Kaisa was silent for a while.

Across tens of thousands of galaxies, her gaze rested on Yan, seeing everything clearly.

"Yan."

Kaisa spoke, her voice a little gentler than before.

"Since you have feelings for him, be brave and pursue your true love. While you're at it, observe his attitude toward the angels."

The tips of Yan's ears reddened again. "Queen Kaisa, I..."

"The angels need to know where he stands."

Kaisa actually already had a new plan in mind.

Originally, she had intended to match Yan with Ge Xiaolun, binding the Galaxy Power firmly to the Angel Civilization's war chariot.

But now a new Galaxy Power had appeared out of nowhere, a clean slate, bearing neither the Super God Academy's imprint nor the Deno Remnants' control.

Perhaps this was fate's gift to the angels.

"But he's really too young. I'm already over seven thousand years old..."

Yan's voice grew quieter, her golden eyes lowering.

"What's wrong with being over seven thousand?"

Kaisa chuckled softly. "Is that so old? A million years from now, he'll only be that tiny bit younger than you, won't he?"

"How could a warrior ask to live a million years...?"

"True love will surely last forever."

The hologram gradually faded, and Kaisa's final words drifted into the living room's air as lightly as a feather.

Yan stood where she was, watching the lingering golden motes fade away bit by bit, saying nothing for a long time.
