Angel City, Merlot Heavenly Court.

After ending her communication with Yan, Kaisa lightly tapped the armrest of her throne twice with her index finger. With a thought, she vanished from the hall.

The next second, she appeared in a garden.

The garden was small, yet exquisitely beautiful.

Unknown flowers of every color spread in layers along a cobblestone path, their fragrance filling the warm air.

Beside a white stone table at the end of the path, an angel with waist-length silver hair held a celadon teacup, sipping leisurely.

She wore a loose, plain white robe, its hem draped casually over her knees, her posture as languid as a cat dozing in the sun.

"You old witch, enjoying yourself, are you?"

Kaisa approached, the hem of her robe brushing the edge of the flowers, a teasing note in her voice.

"You dumped all Heavenly City's affairs on me and came here to drink tea. Doesn't your conscience bother you?"

He Xi rolled her eyes and set down her teacup, her long silver hair gleaming softly in the sunlight.

"I'm retired now. Can't I enjoy myself?"

She leaned lazily against the back of her chair.

"What about you? Why aren't you keeping an eye on your Galaxy Power instead of coming here?"

Kaisa sat down across the stone table and reached out with slender fingers to pick a translucent berry from the fruit platter. Rather than eating it, she slowly rolled it between her fingertips.

"You old witch, you'll never guess. There are two Galaxy Powers on Blue Star."

At those words, He Xi's hand stopped just as she was about to lift her teacup again.

"Two Galaxy Powers? You tomboy, what kind of joke is this?"

She straightened, genuine doubt entering her voice. "You think that rotten orange at the Super God Academy could create a second Galaxy Power?"

"If he could do that, I could go kick that wretched brat Karl's ass."

Kaisa: "..."

Not bothering to argue with He Xi, she simply raised her right hand, a ball of golden light forming at her fingertips.

The light floated before He Xi and instantly unfolded into a translucent holographic image.

"See for yourself."

He Xi looked at the image, still somewhat casual at first.

But the more she read, the more serious her expression became.

The rapidly flowing data reflected in her pale blue eyes, and her brow furrowed deeper and deeper.

When she finished, she fell silent.

Then a blazing fire suddenly ignited in her eyes.

It was the excitement that only erupted when a researcher discovered an entirely new subject to study.

"You tomboy, this is an entirely new research specimen!"

He Xi sprang to her feet, her fingers rapidly tapping and swiping across the floating image to enlarge several key sets of data.

"Look, when he forcibly opened Sumari's Dark Plane, he definitely used a Celestial Computer on par with the Sacred Knowledge Vault!"

"Its computing power might even rival Karl's Great Clock!"

"After all, opening the Dark Plane of someone with a Second Generation Divine Body as effortlessly as he did is no easy task."

"Also, he and his subordinates are all covered in a mysterious magnetic field."

"This magnetic field can actively block Dark Plane information scans. Unless they reveal themselves, our existing technology has no way of tracking their movements."

"Most importantly, his soldiers seem to grow stronger by consuming other people's shadows. Who knows whether they have any other properties?"

Watching her eagerness, Kaisa frowned slightly.

"You old witch, aren't you angry? He did kill your old lover, you know~"

At that, He Xi's expression instantly turned cold, as though a bucket of ice water had been thrown over her.

"Don't mention him to me."

She waved an irritated hand.

"I was young and foolish back then. That was the only reason his sweet talk deceived me. Now he and I could only be enemies with swords drawn."

She sat back down and took a sip of tea, her tone indifferent. "He was lucky that young fellow killed him outright."

"If he'd fallen into my hands, I would have made him wish he were dead."

"Tsk, tsk."

Kaisa clicked her tongue twice and stopped teasing her.

Death extinguished everything like a snuffed-out lamp. As the king of the gods, she certainly wouldn't keep harping on a dead man.

She had only brought it up to see her best friend look embarrassed.

"Seriously, how do you plan to handle this second Galaxy Power?"

"Why not give him to me?"

"With my methods, I'm sure I can uncover the secrets behind him!"

Seeing her like this, Kaisa shook her head helplessly.

"I'm not giving him to you."

"Yan has developed feelings for him. I've already told her to pursue her true love."

"What about Ge Xiaolun, then?"

"You know his situation as well as I do. The Super God Academy has that child on a leash, and the Deno Remnants treat him as a pawn."

"Rather than gamble on him escaping their control, it's better to choose someone mysterious and powerful."

"You've seen Qin Feng's situation too. Not only does he possess a powerful, unknown Celestial Computer, but he also has a group of utterly loyal subordinates. Compared with Ge Xiaolun, he's a better fit for our angels' future."

He Xi nodded. "As long as you've decided."

She paused, and a sly glint suddenly flashed in her eyes.

"But can that girl Yan win him over?"

He Xi tilted her head, idly winding a strand of her hanging silver hair around her finger.

"Look at how rash that girl is. She hardly seems like someone who knows how to be considerate."

"How about letting my darling Zhi Xin go instead? She's so gentle and sweet. She'll definitely win Qin Feng over!"

In her eyes, Qin Feng was clearly a prime investment, who knew how many times better than Ge Xiaolun!

As Zhi Xin's teacher, she had an obligation to fight for her student's happiness!

Kaisa, however, knitted her brows.

"You old witch, I know you want to study Qin Feng's secrets."

A note of warning entered her voice.

"But you can't just play matchmaker at random. How old is Zhi Xin? You want her to seduce someone whose capabilities we don't even understand? Have you lost your mind?"

"I'm only thinking about the future of the Angel Civilization~"

"Besides, my student is beautiful and kindhearted. Maybe that young fellow likes exactly that type?"

"Oh, give it a rest."

Kaisa stood up. "Just stay here and drink your tea. Don't cause trouble."

With that, she flickered away. Golden ripples spread through the air, and her figure vanished completely.

The garden grew quiet, leaving only the wind and the rustle of falling petals.

He Xi remained seated, her fingers gently stroking the rim of her celadon teacup. The flame of research in her pale blue eyes had not died out; instead, it burned even brighter.

She slowly smiled, with the particular obsession of a research fanatic.

"With such a wonderful research subject, I won't be able to sleep unless I let darling Zhi Xin give it a try."

Abandoning her tea, she stood up and headed toward the corridor deep within the garden.
