"Sure. I'd like to see what the other Galaxy Power is like, too."

Qin Feng considered her words, then smiled and nodded.

He had originally planned to return straight to the Shadow Realm, but on second thought, he was still a little short on the resources needed for a third generation divine body.

Scouring the universe for those high-tier advancement materials himself was too inefficient.

And on Blue Star at present, the richest source of resources he could think of was the Super God Academy.

Since Rena had offered him an opening, he might as well go along for a visit and swindle some resources while he was there.

"Then what are we waiting for?"

Hearing him agree, Rena nearly jumped with delight. "Come on, come on! Let's hurry!"

She turned to leave, forgetting that she couldn't fly.

Rena gave two dry coughs, trying hard to maintain her dignity as the Lieyang Main God.

"Well, uh... Qiangwei, let's get going."

Qiangwei sighed expressionlessly and dragged her into the air, flying back the way they had come.

Watching this, Qin Feng's mouth twitched.

Yan had come up behind him at some point and asked quietly, "Are you really going to the Super Soldier Company?"

"Just to take a look."

Qin Feng turned his head toward her. "What, are you afraid Du Kao will lure me away?"

Yan scoffed. "As if he could lure you away. I'm more worried you'll tear his base apart."

Qin Feng smiled without answering.

But the sight left Yan vaguely uneasy.

After all, she knew Qin Feng had met Ge Xiaolun before.

The two had even been in the same place when their genes first awakened. She didn't believe Qin Feng was going there simply to meet Ge Xiaolun.

Perhaps he had something else in mind.

Two and a half hours later, Qin Feng's group arrived at the Super Soldier Company's base.

The base lay in a valley, its gray-white buildings built along the mountainside, surrounded by towering defensive walls and densely arrayed monitoring towers.

The training ground occupied the base's eastern wing, an open stretch of level ground enclosed by an energy barrier. Its surface was paved with dark gray, high-strength composite material, still marked with blackened shell craters and weapon gouges.

The moment Qin Feng and the other three landed, the scene on the training ground caught their attention.

At the center of the training ground was a young man in Dark Alloy Armor who looked to be in his early twenties. He was neither particularly brawny nor thin, and a huge black sword hung across his back.

He was charging frantically across the field.

More precisely, he was scurrying away with his head in his hands.

Dozens of drone gun platforms hovered in midair, their barrels spewing energy rounds that chased him like a shower of rain.

The energy rounds struck him with dull thuds, sending rings of light rippling across his Dark Alloy Armor. Yet he seemed completely unaware that the shots didn't hurt at all. He simply screamed and dodged in every direction, looking as wretched as a groundhog being chased and beaten.

"Aaah! Stop shooting! I surrender! Isn't surrendering enough?"

Ge Xiaolun howled as he ran. Even his dark alloy helmet had slipped askew, exposing one terrified eye.

On an empty patch beside the training ground, three others in Dark Alloy Armor squatted in a row, watching the show.

Zhao Xin squatted on the far left, his hands braced on his knees and a blade of grass between his lips, wearing an indescribable expression.

"Xiaolun, don't just dodge! Fight back! Grab your big sword and charge!"

Liu Chuang, in the middle, smacked his lips and shook his head at Zhao Xin. "Is this how assault combat training is supposed to work? Good heavens, I've really seen something new today."

Cheng Yaowen squatted on the right, silently shaking his head without a word.

On the training ground, Ge Xiaolun was still running.

Watching the scene, Qin Feng's mouth twitched slightly.

Behind him, Leng was laughing so hard she could barely stand, clutching her stomach and doubling over.

"This is killing me! Is there something wrong with this Galaxy Power's brain? Those rounds don't hurt him at all, so why is he dodging? One charge would take care of those gun platforms! I really don't understand him!"

As she spoke, she nudged Yan beside her with an elbow.

"Yan, don't you agree?"

Yan turned her head away expressionlessly, her long golden hair sweeping an arc through the sunlight.

She didn't want to acknowledge Leng at all.

Whatever Ge Xiaolun was like, he was no longer any concern of hers.

Because the person she had now chosen was Qin Feng.

Just then, the sound of a wheelchair rolling over the ground came from behind them to one side.

Qin Feng turned to look.

A Jie was pushing a wheelchair over from the base's main building, and the man sitting in it was none other than Du Kao.

He had changed into a clean military uniform, with the service ribbons on his chest arranged neatly.

"Welcome to the Super Soldier Company, everyone. I am..."

"Enough, enough."

Yan cut him off without much courtesy in her tone. "We're all old acquaintances. Who in the Known Universe hasn't heard of you, the war maniac? Spare us the pleasantries."

Despite the rebuff, Du Kao showed no anger.

He smiled and nodded, his gaze passing over Yan and settling unobtrusively on Qin Feng.

There was a hint of cautious appraisal in his eyes.

He had originally arranged Ge Xiaolun's assault combat training to show the angels the Galaxy Power's masculine, courageous side.

But who could have imagined Ge Xiaolun would prove so disappointing, chased around by a group of drone gun platforms without even the courage to fight back?

Sometimes, Du Kao really wanted to pry open Ge Xiaolun's skull and see what was inside.

Those rounds posed no threat whatsoever to someone with his indestructible body.

Yet he insisted on scurrying away with his head in his hands.

And now that Qin Feng had arrived, the contrast laid Ge Xiaolun's incompetence utterly bare.

Du Kao felt stifled with frustration, but he still had to keep smiling.

Qin Feng was also sizing Du Kao up.

He remembered that when he had left last time, Tara's mental invasion had reduced this man to a shell that could only babble.

He hadn't expected the Super God Academy to actually save him. It seemed the medical resources backing them really were formidable.

But judging by Du Kao's current wheelchair-bound state, he was probably having a hard time of it.

His legs were most likely ruined, and the lingering effects of his mental trauma were clearly still tormenting him.

Should I give him another little dose?

While Qin Feng was considering this, Yan spoke.

"Du Kao, we've come to learn whether you're willing to join the banner of justice. Of course, most importantly, we need a formal discussion about the direction of future cooperation between the Angel Civilization and the Super God Academy."

Du Kao's expression remained unchanged, his voice steady. "I understand. But this isn't the place to talk. Why don't we go inside and discuss it in detail?"

"All right."

Yan nodded, beckoned to Leng and A Zhui, and followed Du Kao and A Jie toward the base's main building.

Qin Feng stayed where he was.

He watched Yan and the other two disappear through the main building's entrance, then turned and smiled at Rena. "Come on. Show me this Super Soldier you mentioned, the one with the same gene model as me."

Rena's eyes lit up. "Come on, come on! Qiangwei, you come too!"

Qiangwei fell silent for a moment, but followed them anyway.
