Homelander ignored Kailong's tone and brought the phone to his ear instead. "Ashley, can you hear me?"
"Y-yes, I can."
"I'll fill you in on the information you don't know once I get back to Vought. Be ready."
"Understood, sir. I'll contact the top biological research teams from various countries right away to expand our research team."
After Ashley respectfully acknowledged his orders, Homelander hung up.
"Then shall we get started?" Homelander looked at Kailong.
Soldier Boy smacked his lips, thinking that Ashley truly deserved her reputation as a legendary survivor. From just a few words from Homelander, she had deduced his intentions and drawn up a plan of action.
Kailong lowered his eyes. "I'm taking you somewhere very deep, so I think you need to make some preparations, such as underwater searchlights, oxygen tanks, and other equipment. Otherwise, you won't get anywhere at that depth."

Homelander nodded in agreement.
Oxygen tanks weren't essential for either of them. With their physiques, they could easily hold their breath for long periods.
That was because the rate at which oxygen deprivation killed their brain cells over a short period couldn't even keep up with the rate at which those cells regenerated.
Searchlights were another matter. Without them, the two of them would be as good as blind in the utterly lightless depths of the ocean.
"Shit, this godforsaken middle of nowhere. Let me think where the nearest big city is..."
Homelander held his forehead and sighed softly.
A superhero who routinely flew thousands of miles to fight criminals across the United States had actually been stumped by something this trivial.
"There should be a fairly big city to the
