Background / History
Ah Yin originally cultivated as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Grass before taking human form. She became Tang Hao’s partner and gave birth to Tang San, whose Blue Silver Grass martial soul originated from her 44.
When several Spirit Hall Titled Douluo besieged the couple, Ah Yin sacrificed herself to Tang Hao. Her sacrifice supplied his Hundred-Thousand-Year soul ring and allowed him to become a Titled Douluo. She later survived in a weakened grass form, retaining limited consciousness and the ability to recognize her child’s bloodline 44 48.
Appearance
Ah Yin’s restored human form appears to be that of a woman in her thirties, with an elegant bearing and features strongly resembling Tang San’s 50.
- Hair: Long azure hair cascading down her back 50.
- Eyes: Azure, compared to flawless blue crystals 50.
- Clothing: Initially wears a blue-gold dress with golden ribbons around its hem; later appears in a long white dress 50 55.
- Grass form: Longer than ordinary Blue Silver Grass, with fine golden patterns on its leaves and a gentle aura 50.
Personality
Ah Yin is initially gentle, trusting, and deeply protective of Tang San. She wants her child to grow up happily rather than be consumed by hatred. Even when Xiao Yexuan accuses Tang San of exploiting Xiao Wu, she defends her daughter and refuses to accept the accusation without evidence 45 50 51.
Her trust breaks after witnessing Tang San’s scheme to obtain Xiao Wu’s soul ring and soul bone, followed by Tang San’s attempt to kill her. She subsequently directs much of her protective affection toward Xiao Wu and becomes fiercely loyal to Xiao Yexuan. That loyalty begins under coercion: he controls her survival and uses a wager concerning Tang San to force her compliance 51 52 55 58.
Ah Yin strongly opposes the exploitation of vulnerable people, particularly those with soul beast blood. Her response to the Heaven Dou Auction House becomes lethal after Xiao Yexuan persuades her that rescuing its existing slaves alone would not prevent further trafficking. Despite her earlier willingness to share his attention, she later becomes jealous when other women monopolize him 58 131 133 174.

- Tang Hao — Former partner and recipient of her sacrifice. Ah Yin later questions both his feelings for her and his responsibility for Tang San’s upbringing. At the tournament, he recognizes her restored form and mistakenly interprets the two Tang Sans’ martial souls as evidence that she had children with another man 48 57 174 176 177.

- Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin — Enemies who covet her soul bones and unusual ring configuration. They capture Xiao Yexuan to pressure her into surrendering her Hundred-Thousand-Year soul bones 132 133 135.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Reunion with Tang San
Xiao Yexuan searches for Ah Yin while expanding his control over Sunset Forest. Following Tang San’s unexplained attraction toward her mother, he locates Ah Yin through her abundant Life Force. He secretly transplants her near Tang San and allows the reunion to occur, intending to exploit their bond and use her location as a trap for Tang Hao 37 43 44.
Tang San learns that her mother is alive and begins visiting her secretly. Ah Yin’s account of her sacrifice also gives Tang San the idea of obtaining Xiao Wu’s power through a similar sacrifice 45 48.
Restoration and Family Rupture
Xiao Yexuan restores Ah Yin to human form and challenges her belief in Tang San’s goodness. After initially refusing to gamble, she enters an agreement involving their freedom and follows Tang San’s escape with Xiao Wu. Although she notices suspicious preparations involving Soul Burst Pills, she continues defending her daughter 50 51 52.
Ah Yin ultimately intervenes to prevent Xiao Wu’s sacrifice. Tang San responds by attempting to kill her, but Xiao Yexuan blocks the poison needle. Ah Yin rejects Tang San and helps Xiao Wu understand how she was manipulated 55 56.
Service to Xiao Yexuan
Ah Yin accompanies Xiao Yexuan to Shrek Academy and fights the Golden Iron Triangle. Although their Golden Sacred Dragon blocks her attacks, it cannot overcome her defensive endurance before exhausting its users 60 61 62.
She later monitors the captives, tolerating conflict between Tang San and God King Tang when neither is in mortal danger. Her tolerance ends when God King Tang attacks Xiao Wu and Jiang Zhu: Ah Yin breaks her vines, strikes her down, and heals the other victims 94 149.
Heaven Dou Auction House
Outraged by the auction of a Cat Girl and the sale of attendants raised as merchandise, Ah Yin intervenes and kills Prince Xue Xing. She reveals her nine-ring configuration, interrogates the auction’s managers, and kills the president, steward, and bidders involved in the Cat Girl’s sale. She displays their bodies as a warning against further trafficking 130 131 132 133.
Her display of power attracts the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s interest. Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin use Xiao Yexuan as a hostage to demand her soul bones, but Xiao Yexuan reveals his own strength and defeats their forces. Ah Yin subsequently returns with him to Yexuan Academy 135 136 137.
Tournament Appearance
At the tournament, Ah Yin knows that Yexuan’er is Xiao Yexuan’s female form and becomes jealous of the women surrounding her. Tang Hao recognizes Ah Yin in the academy’s group, but his later interpretation of Tang San and God King Tang’s Blue Silver martial souls produces a mistaken belief that Ah Yin has had two children with another man 174 176 177.
