Background
Tang San enters the Ice and Fire Duality Eye after detoxifying Dugu Bo. Though permitted to take several Immortal Herbs, she intends to claim all of the treasure ground's herbs for herself. She is carrying the newly made King Yama's Post when Xiao Yexuan captures her with empowered vines. 1
Xiao Yexuan recognizes Tang San's Tang Sect background and accuses her of stealing Inner Sect techniques. Tang San is unable to resist the far stronger captor, loses the King Yama's Post, and develops an enduring desire to kill Xiao Yexuan. 1 2
After Xiao Yexuan forces the Yin-Yang Reversal Fruit on her, Tang San awakens in a female body. The transformation leaves her horrified and fearful of how Xiao Wu and others would see her, while Xiao Yexuan exploits her dependence and coerces her into obedience. 3 4
Appearance
Following the Yin-Yang Reversal Fruit's effects, Tang San has the appearance of a mature blue-haired woman. Her new body is described as exceptionally beautiful, with an ice-goddess-like face and a lower, gentle voice. 4
- Waist-length light-blue hair, frequently tied into uneven twin tails by Xiao Yexuan. 4 6
- Twin Martial Souls manifest as Blue Silver Grass and a black Clear Sky Hammer. 8
- Often forced to wear large fox-tail accessories, including blue-white, red, pink-blue, and eventually nine-tailed variants. 12 16 41 47
- Makes and favors ornate clothing, including a light-blue dress and a leaf-thread outfit resembling a forest sprite. 46 58
Personality
Tang San is ambitious, possessive, and intensely survival-driven. Her attempt to take every Immortal Herb at the Ice and Fire Duality Eye establishes her willingness to seize advantages, while her first response to captivity is murderous hostility toward Xiao Yexuan. 1 2
Under coercion, she becomes highly adaptive. She performs obedience to avoid worse treatment, seeks poisons and hidden weapons for an escape, and turns the stationary Recovery Lotus Seats into a restorative circuit so she can complete an exhausting task. 5 16 19
Her attachment to Xiao Wu and Ah Yin exists alongside a ruthless, manipulative side. She cares for Xiao Wu's injuries, but later considers using her as a decoy or sacrifice for power; she also shifts blame onto Xiao Wu to evade punishment. Ah Yin's disappointment exposes the conflict between Tang San's self-preservation and her claimed loyalty to loved ones. 27 39 49 52 55
Tang San is drawn to beauty despite her circumstances, taking pride in her self-made clothing and admiring the appearance of the pink-blue fox tail even while fearing the pain of wearing it. 41 46 58
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San possesses both Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer, using their simultaneous manifestation to prove her identity to Dugu Bo. 8 9
- Blue Silver Grass — Her primary Martial Soul and the basis of her control, support, poison, and plant-manipulation abilities.
- Clear Sky Hammer — Her second Martial Soul and intended offensive reserve; Tang San views it as the source of her future combat potential. 14
- Her Blue Silver Grass cultivation was originally intended to follow a poison path, a direction disrupted by the forced Snow Lotus Soul Ring. 14 15
- Xiao Yexuan later seals her Blue Silver Grass, limiting her ability to use it independently. 117
Recovery Lotus Seat
Tang San's fourth Blue Silver Grass Soul Skill creates lotus platforms that restore the Soul Power of anyone sitting upon them. 15
- Initially stated to increase Soul Power recovery tenfold. 15
- Tang San later describes the skill as allowing Soul Power or spiritual power to recover at double speed; the stated recovery multiplier differs between her accounts. 65
- Can sustain multiple people at once through numerous summoned platforms. 65
- Tang San arranges eight platforms in a circle to restore Soul Power while moving between them. 16
- The platforms themselves are stationary. 16
Tang Sect Techniques and Hidden Weapons
Tang San possesses Tang Sect techniques from her prior life and relies on hidden weapons, poison, and movement techniques to compensate for unfavorable circumstances. 1 2

Eight Spider Lances
Tang San possesses the Eight Spider Lances, an External Soul Bone acquired from a Man-Faced Demon Spider. She considers it extremely valuable, especially for a spider-type Martial Soul user. 3
- Supports her poison-oriented combat approach. 64
- Remains a defining advantage in her argument that Yu Xiaogang's recommended poison path only worked because she gained this rare Soul Bone. 64

Relationships
- Xiao Yexuan — Captor and coercive master. Tang San outwardly complies to survive but repeatedly seeks to poison, escape from, or eventually kill Xiao Yexuan. 2 5 19 81
- Xiao Wu — Former beloved and closest companion. Tang San protects Xiao Wu at times, but their bond deteriorates when Tang San treats her as a tool, decoy, and potential sacrifice for power. 13 27 39 49 55
- Ah Yin — Tang San's mother, a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Grass. Their reunion gives Tang San her first experience of maternal love, but Ah Yin later rejects Tang San's attempt to exploit Xiao Wu. 44 45 55
- Tang Hao — Tang San's father. Learning that he is the youngest Titled Douluo gives Tang San hope that he will rescue her; she also resolves to avenge Ah Yin and oppose Spirit Hall. 11 45
- Dugu Bo — Tang San previously detoxified him, prompting him to seek her rescue. Tang San proves her identity to him by revealing both Martial Souls. 1 8 9
- Yu Xiaogang — Former teacher. Tang San ultimately denounces his theories, holds him responsible for endangering her in the Spirit Hunting Forest, and attempts to kill him. 64 65
- God King Tang — Tang San's future self, summoned into her body. After recognizing one another as past and future versions of the same person, they cooperate to pursue strength and rebellion against Xiao Yexuan. 75 83 105
