Background / History

Dai Mubai arrives at Shrek Academy with Zhu Zhuqing shortly after Liu Erlong's death. He initially presents himself as Zhu Zhuqing's protector, standing in front of her and assuring her that no one will harm her. Xiao Yexuan immediately captures them with vines; Dai Mubai's White Tiger Martial Soul cannot break free. Xiao Yexuan's System identifies him as another target whose punishment can yield rewards. 68

Faced with Xiao Yexuan's power and the deaths and suffering around him, Dai Mubai becomes terrified of resisting. He admits that he fled Star Luo because he feared being killed by his brother, and he obeys Xiao Yexuan to avoid a similar fate. 69 80

After prolonged confinement and torment in a secret room, Dai Mubai is given a Yin-Yang Reversal Fruit. The fruit encases him in a black-and-white cocoon and transforms him into a female body. Desperate to escape the cell, he agrees to serve Xiao Yexuan in exchange for being released. 110 111

Xiao Yexuan brings Dai Mubai to the Ice and Fire Duality Eye, where Tang San is ordered to make clothing suited to Dai Mubai's altered body. God King Tang initially sees Dai Mubai as a useful subordinate and potential shield against Tang San. 114 115

God King Tang comforts Dai Mubai after injuring her and falsely blames Tang San. Having grown up amid the brutal succession struggles of the Star Luo Imperial Family without parental affection, Dai Mubai is deeply affected by this care and begins calling God King Tang “Mommy.” 116 117

Dai Mubai later resolves to protect God King Tang, using her White Tiger Martial Soul and Soul Skills against Tang San. She defeats Tang San in a direct confrontation, knocking her unconscious despite suffering wounds from Hidden Weapons. 122 125 126

After receiving the Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum, Dai Mubai reaches level 40. She subsequently seeks the captaincy of the Yexuan Seven Saints, but Xiao Wu dismisses her claim after revealing her superior six-ring cultivation. 143 144 146

God King Tang later rejects Dai Mubai's maternal devotion and attacks her, revealing that the relationship had been partly manipulative. Jiang Zhu heals Dai Mubai and comforts her; Dai Mubai then accepts Jiang Zhu as another mother figure. 147 148

Dai Mubai was originally a broad-shouldered man approximately 1.8 meters tall. After consuming the Yin-Yang Reversal Fruit, she becomes a small blonde girl with a soft voice and a physically top-heavy build that initially makes walking, bathing, and maintaining balance difficult. 68 110 111 112

Before his capture, Dai Mubai is outwardly bold and protective, particularly toward Zhu Zhuqing. However, his fear of death is pronounced: he fled Star Luo to escape his brother and becomes compliant when confronted with Xiao Yexuan's overwhelming power. 68 69

After his transformation, Dai Mubai becomes emotionally vulnerable, dependent, and eager for maternal affection. God King Tang's small acts of comfort have a powerful effect because he had never experienced comparable parental care in the Star Luo Imperial Family. 117 118 119

Despite this dependency, Dai Mubai retains a strong desire to protect those she considers family. She seeks strength to defend God King Tang, stands against Tang San despite being injured, and later reacts to God King Tang's betrayal with resentment and a vow to one day repay the harm done to her. 122 125 126 147
