  • Ji Hong thanked Old White Ape for having trusted him, then invoked the fourth generation of the Human Race as he prepared to destroy the Demon Domain’s earth veins.

  • Ji Hong told Yu Sheng that the rest was up to him, admitted he had never disdained Old White Ape for being a demon, and burned to ash.
  • The Demon Beasts felt the land reject them, while the Demon Kings, Demon Lords, and Demon Gods found their recovery and use of laws impaired.
  • Old White Ape ordered the demons to kill the humans and challenged their hesitation to fight.

Ch. 1652The world would remember

Old White Ape explained that he had allowed Ji Hong to die because intervening would have denied his friend’s choice, then vowed to stay out of the coming war. As he showed Yu Sheng another soldier’s self-sacrifice, Yu Sheng insisted that the fallen would be remembered and challenged Old White Ape’s belief that humans were all alike.

  • Old White Ape mourned Ji Hong, accusing him of using his own death to soften Old White Ape’s heart, then declared he would not interfere in the war.
  • Old White Ape brought Yu Sheng to a young man who had died protecting his second brother before charging into the Demon Beasts and detonating his energy.
  • Old White Ape claimed no one would remember the young man, but Yu Sheng said his family, comrades, and the world would remember those who created history to protect future generations.
  • Old White Ape called Yu Sheng brainwashed and insisted that humans were selfish and fundamentally alike.
  • Yu Sheng argued that he had met people willing to sacrifice themselves for companions and ideals, and said another person’s spiritual energy remained within him and in his heart.

Ch. 1653The human heart is greedy by nature

  • Old White Ape showed Yu Sheng Sikong Nan fighting humans alongside Barbarian City's Demon Beasts and argued that humans were no better than other races.

Ch. 1654The person you care about most

  • Yu Sheng told Old White Ape that the light and goodness of his companions had shaped his outlook and made him happy.

Old White Ape tried to push Yu Sheng toward the Tenth Awakening by sending a large demon force to attack Deep Mountain. Yu Mo assured Yuan Qingshan that Deep Mountain was prepared, but admitted to himself that he had lied to both Yuan Qingshan and Yu Sheng, and remained on the wall awaiting the dawn.

  • Old Woman destroyed her Awakening Object and urged Sun Yingxiong to keep fighting, while Blind Old Man joined the Human Race forces to fill their remaining gap.
