Qian Ran drew Ye Xishui and Long Xiaoyao into dealings with him by offering pills that restored Ye Xishui’s youth, while he continued teaching and deepening his relationships with Meng Hongchen and Ju Zi. The arc ended with Zhongli Wu arriving as Qian Ran and Ju Zi prepared for the Holy Spirit Cult’s involvement in their lives.
Qian Ran used Enlightenment Tea and the Undead Demiplane to deepen his ties with Ye Xishui, help Snow Empress become a Demigod, and advance Ye Xishui’s cultivation. He returned to Shrek Academy, reunited with Dong'er, and persuaded Zhang Lexuan to pursue the Sun Moon Empire’s throne with his support.
Qian Ran strengthened his influence over the Holy Spirit Cult and Sun Moon Empire while drawing Jing Hongchen into plans for Zhang Lexuan. After thwarting Xue Lingxun’s attempt to kill him, he revealed Xu Sanshi’s place in the cult and persuaded Xue Lingxun to stay with him.
Qian Ran returned from Mingdu with several women and brought the Time-Sands Clock, new allies, and powerful soul tools into Shrek Academy. He became Vice Dean of the Soul Tool Department and drew closer to Ma Xiaotao and Wu Ming as Sea God's Fate approached.
Qian Ran began a relationship with Wu Ming, drew her into his household, and welcomed Wang Qiu'er and Zi JI into his life and cultivation space. At Shrek, he set Han Ruoruo to work as his secretary and prepared to craft a Level 9 Soul Tool, while Han Ruoruo grew increasingly fascinated and jealous.
Qian Ran completed his first Level 9 Soul Tool, drew Han Ruoruo into his household, and helped Wang Qiu'er reach Soul Saint. As Xiao Wu and Tang Wutong arrived under Tang San’s plans, Tang Wutong met Qian Ran and began questioning her relationship with Huo Yuhao.
Qian Ran strengthened his power and challenged Xiao Wu and Tang Wutong over the Tang Sect, Spirit Hall, and the fate of Soul Beasts. After discovering Qian Ran’s influence over Wang Dong'er and Huo Yun'er, Tang Wutong offered to become his wife in exchange for killing Huo Yuhao, and he began treating her as a prospective personal maid.
Qian Ran drew Tang Wutong away from Huo Yuhao by persuading her that Tang San had been possessed, while secretly admitting to Qian Renxue that his accusations were fabricated. After Xiao Wu confronted him, Qian Ran and Qian Renxue captured her and forced her to watch Tang Wutong choose Qian Ran, leaving Xiao Wu bound and at his mercy.
Qian Ran gathered powerful allies and brought the Martial Soul Sect to Mingdu, where its ties to Spirit Hall alarmed the other factions. After defeating the Earth Dragon Sect and recruiting Nan Qiuqiu, he turned his attention to the Soul Engineer Tournament and strengthening the Xishui Alliance.
Qian Ran drew Ye Guyi into the Undead World’s plans, helped Feng Ling seize control of the Holy Spirit Cult, and began moving its members into the plane. The arc ended with Xu Tianran preparing to confront Qian Ran with the Clear Sky Sect and the gods’ support.
