Qian Ran allied with Ye Xishui, helped her and Snow Empress reach the Demigod Realm, and backed Zhang Lexuan's bid for the Sun Moon Empire's throne. He returned to Shrek Academy with new allies and soul tools, became Vice Dean of the Soul Tool Department, and passed the Level 8 Soul Engineer assessment as Sea God's Fate approached.
Qian Ran expanded his household and power at Shrek while drawing Tang Wutong away from Huo Yuhao and into his plans. The volume ended with Xiao Wu captured and bound after Tang Wutong chose to pursue a relationship with Qian Ran.
