He pulled the covers tighter around himself and fell asleep.
When he woke, it was already evening.
Since the place was underground, he had slept fairly well.
He felt much better when he got up, too.
Shinobu Kocho sat by the head of his bed, resting her head on one hand and breathing evenly.
Tetsu no Sosuke watched her quietly for a while, then picked up a rice ball beside him and stuffed it into his mouth.
The noise woke Shinobu Kocho. "You're awake?"
"Yeah." Tetsu no Sosuke nodded. "What time is it?"
"Half past five."
Tetsu no Sosuke sat up as he ate. "Keep a close eye on what's happening outside."
"We're getting reports constantly, but it's still early."
"Right."
Tetsu no Sosuke nodded. As long as the sun was up, nothing would happen.
After eating some of the rice balls, he took a pill from the medicine pot and popped it into his mouth.
As soon as he swallowed it, he felt another surge of energy!
Tetsu no Sosuke got out of bed and headed straight down underground.
"Where are you going?"
Shinobu Kocho asked.
"The gift I've prepared for Kibutsuji Muzan needs special packaging."
Tetsu no Sosuke smiled. "I hope he likes it."
When Tetsu no Sosuke came back up to the surface, he saw the Pillars outside in twos and threes, strolling around and checking the surroundings.
But a few others stood out among them.
Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu Agatsuma... and Kanao!
"Why is she here too?"
Tetsu no Sosuke frowned.
"She's a Demon Hunter now. Of course she's here," Shinobu Kocho said.
Tetsu no Sosuke sighed softly. "How strong is she?"
"She's quite capable."
