"It's not over yet." Tetsu no Sosuke watched Akaza's headless body standing there, utterly unmoving, and said softly, "He's a demon who has broken through his limits. Nothing but sunlight can kill him outright. Even decapitation won't kill him."

Tanjiro stared, dumbfounded. Cutting off a demon's head with a Nichirin Blade was a way to kill it. That was common knowledge among all Swordsmen.
Yet before he had even truly become a Demon Hunter, that common knowledge had already been shattered.
Akaza's headless body silently turned around, blood streaming from his severed neck and still spurting out.
The wound began writhing wildly, while the head on the ground kept laughing maniacally. "Everyone here is going to die today!!"
Tetsu no Sosuke let out a long breath. "Everyone, fall back. Don't give him any openings."
Tanjiro hesitated briefly, but ultimately decided to obey Tetsu no Sosuke's order.
Under the present circumstances, he simply wasn't strong enough to help Tetsu no Sosuke.
Rather than stay here and distract Tetsu no Sosuke, he was better off leaving, or watching from a distance, so that the burden of protecting them wouldn't leave Tetsu no Sosuke taking additional hits.
Zenitsu Agatsuma was more than happy to oblige, and Kanao silently backed away as well.
The Pig-Head Boy, however, was deeply unhappy. "Why should I? You tell me to back off, and I'm supposed to back off? I don't even know what 'back off' means! You killed my opponent, so leave this guy to me! Pig Assault..."
He howled and tried to charge forward, but before he could get past Tetsu no Sosuke, Tetsu no Sosuke caught him by the arm and flung him back.
