Kanae looked a little helpless. She knew Tetsu no Sosuke probably wouldn't let her continue today, so she simply said to Kiyo Terauchi, "All right, go on and get back to work."
Kiyo Terauchi nodded. Before leaving, she gave Tetsu no Sosuke an odd look.
Tetsu no Sosuke didn't notice. He walked up to Kanae with a cheerful grin. "What are we having for lunch?"
"You'll have to ask the kitchen." Kanae took his hand and used it to pull herself up from the chair. "Now that you've finished forging that Nichirin Blade, I expect someone will come calling again soon."
"Then I'd better make the most of this free time and keep my wife company."
"Hmph. So you can only see me when you have time to spare? As my husband, shouldn't you be by my side protecting me twenty-four hours a day?
"Aren't you worried something might happen to me when you neglect your duties like this?"
As she spoke, Kanae poked Tetsu no Sosuke in the chest.
He pulled her into his arms. "It looks like you've sent everyone else away."
Kanae froze. "What are you doing?"
"All right." Tetsu no Sosuke nodded at once and began taking off his clothes.
Kanae stared at him in shock. "What are you doing?"
"All right!"
Tetsu no Sosuke nodded again.
Kanae was at her wits' end. "Would you say something? What do you mean, 'all right'?"
"It's pretty straightforward. I mean it literally."
He held Kanae close and gave her a wicked grin. "I heard that at this stage, it's safe."
Kanae's face went scarlet. "You..."
Tetsu no Sosuke said nothing. He bent down, scooped her up, and strode out of the secluded little courtyard toward their home.
Well... what happened next was better left to the imagination!
