For some reason, Big Hammer had a coat of snowy-white fur. In winter, out in the snow, Tanjiro would surely be unable to spot him... he would blend in perfectly.
Not only did this fellow love a good fight, he also loved sneaking into the kitchen to steal meat.
This infuriated the men and women working in the kitchen, who would often chase Big Hammer all over the yard with cleavers in hand. He would simply beam with delight and take off running, immensely pleased with himself.
Tanjiro felt that, given the chance, the kitchen staff would certainly have no objection to turning Big Hammer into all sorts of delicacies.
Even if someone praised how delicious those dishes were, they might not feel particularly happy about it...
Inosuke was very fond of Big Hammer. The boy and the wolf would romp all over the mountains whenever they felt like it.
What was more, he seemed to have picked up some strange skills from Big Hammer, making his swordsmanship much more peculiar.
By comparison, Tanjiro did not interact much with Big Hammer. He only occasionally told him in earnest, "Stop causing trouble and behave, or Sosuke really might slaughter you and serve you up for New Year's."
Big Hammer seemed to understand him. Whenever he heard this, he would wear an expression of weary resignation.
Then he would go right back to frantically snatching meat from the kitchen.
As though these were the last days of his life as a wolf...
All in all, the Hammer Hut was a fun place. Tanjiro thought so, and so did Nezuko.
Then... it was time to leave.
His new Nichirin Blade... actually, it could not really be called new. Tetsu no Sosuke had merely modified it, setting a rather wondrous-looking stone into it that
