Lu Xiao pondered for a moment, then answered.

"Yeah! I don't know whether you count, but I'm human!"

At that, Dart's face fell.

Driver remarked from beside him.

"You really know how to comfort people!"

Lu Xiao shrugged.

"Why care so much? Does it really matter whether you're human?"

"You've already died once. Isn't it pretty good that you're still alive?"

Driver mulled it over carefully and felt that did seem to make sense.

Lu Xiao stood up and brushed the dust off his pants.

"All right! Quit being such a pansy. Since we're here, let's make the best of it!"

With that, he walked over to the orange taxi, opened the front passenger door, and got in.

Driver walked up beside Dart and patted his shoulder.

"Don't overthink it. Mr. Doctor gave you a mission!"

With that, Driver headed toward the taxi too.

Hearing Driver's words, Dart's expression became incredibly complicated.

"Stay alive?"

Inside the taxi.

Chainsaw Man and Dart sat in the back.

Chainsaw Man's muffled voice rang out.

"Friend...!"

"You smell so good. Can I have a lick?"

Dart didn't dare move a muscle.

The enormous chainsaw rested on his legs. Out of the corner of his eye, he could even see the mottled rust on its blade.

Lu Xiao hurriedly stopped him.

"Chainsaw Uncle! It's rude to treat friends like that!"

"Oh, oh!"

Chainsaw Man nodded hastily.

Driver asked from beside him.

"Where are we going next?"

"We've already completed the mission Doctor assigned!"

He raised his wrist and glanced at the time on his watch.

"We've been in here a day already. Doctor said we have to return within two days!"

Lu Xiao grinned.

"Since we're already here, shouldn't we bring them back some local specialties?"

"Don't worry. One day is plenty!"

Then he turned to look at Chainsaw Man.

"Chainsaw Uncle, sorry for the trouble, but I'll need your help catching some food in a bit. I'm bringing it back for my other friends!"

And so, the taxi drove aimlessly for about two hours.

According to the location shown on Driver's watch, they were already very, very far from the Gate.

The moment the car stopped, Chainsaw Man charged out with his chainsaw raised.

Lu Xiao toyed with the Bone Spur in his hand.

His memory stopped at the moment the Bone Spur pierced his heart.

Suddenly, being alive didn't seem so bad.

Lu Xiao narrowed his eyes.

"Earlier, after I stabbed this thing into my heart, did you see what happened?"

Dart shook his head.

"I only felt an intense wave of negative emotions, as if it was going to corrupt me, and then I lost consciousness!"

Hearing Dart's words, Lu Xiao briefly pondered.

Lu Xiao and Dart followed his gaze.

A tall woman in a red dress stood in front of them.

Her gaze was fixed directly on the three of them through the windshield.

Driver stroked his chin and remarked.

"You know, this lady is actually quite pretty!"

The woman had beautiful features, but her skin was unreasonably pale.

Seeing the woman's face, Lu Xiao suddenly recalled a wonderful memory.

When he was in the Dark Prison before, he had also encountered a beautiful lady.

That lady had ended up crawling out of his stomach.

Driver was about to get out and greet her.

Dart hurriedly stopped him.

"Are you crazy? This is the Dark Prison! That's definitely a terrifying Weird Life!"

Driver glanced at Lu Xiao beside him, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

"What's there to be afraid of?"

As he spoke, he added another sentence.

"Thanks for nature's bounty!"

Then he opened the door and got out.

Lu Xiao remained in the passenger seat, looking ready to enjoy the show.

Dart sighed and didn't dare get out either.

The two watched Driver walk toward the beautiful woman.

After getting out, Driver first tidied his hair, then rubbed his hands together as he walked forward.

"Beautiful lady, is there anything I can help you with?"

He gave her a gentlemanly smile and bowed slightly in a gentleman's greeting.

When he raised his head again, the woman was no longer in sight.

Puzzled, he turned and looked around.

Inside the car, Lu Xiao was immediately amused by the sight.

Driver couldn't see her, but he and Dart could see her perfectly clearly.

The woman was clinging to Driver's back.

Strangely, Driver didn't seem to notice anything wrong.

Lu Xiao said to Dart.

"It's no big deal. She should be a rule-type Weird Life!"

"As long as she's allowed to complete her rule, she'll leave on her own!"

As the two spoke, the woman clinging to Driver's back stretched out her deathly pale hands and slowly reached toward his neck.

Driver was still turning in place, trying to find the woman.

But the woman's hands were already about to touch Driver's neck.

At that moment, Driver finally noticed something.

Crack!

Driver's head tilted, and his neck snapped with the sound.

Sure enough, the woman clinging to Driver vanished into thin air.
