Lu Xiao’s group found Dart and learned that the true Dark Prison’s Gate was failing, then became stranded in a dangerous wilderness where Sloth’s Confusion nearly drove Lu Xiao to suicide. After Ding Dan helped restore Lu Xiao, Liuguang and Sly began Doctor’s mission at Liuguang’s old orphanage.

• Lu Xiao’s group followed Dart’s trail into the Dark Prison and found him guarding the failing Gate, where he refused to abandon his post.
• Dart warned Ding Dan that Doctor planned to sacrifice Niclade, while the group shared a meal and Chainsaw Man revealed his human face.
• He Shang tried to spread his teachings, but Lucilla attacked him and exposed her identity as Pride before he escaped.
• Dart told Lu Xiao’s group that R019 had used only Temptation on him, and Ding Dan began to understand why their mutations differed.
• Driver’s teleportation failed in the wilderness, and the group grew drowsy until Sloth found them and revealed himself as the Saints’ seventh seat.
• Lu Xiao resisted Sloth’s sleep ability, but Sloth’s Confusion left him exhausted and suicidal until Ding Dan found Positivity and Chainsaw Man used it to restore him.
• Liuguang and Sly went to Liuguang’s old orphanage to investigate Doctor’s mission target, entered armed with Divine Blood Warheads, and told the director they were looking for children to train.

Lu Xiao and the Director uncovered Black Cat’s Dreamscape, rescued Nini, and brought her to the Containment Facility for treatment. The Doctor began experiments involving anomalous transformation and Lu Xiao’s memories, while a new dream left Lu Xiao trapped in a violent scene.

• Sly and Liuguang encountered the orphanage’s Anomaly, and Liuguang fell unconscious after seeing Xiaopidan.
• Lu Xiao and Ding Dan tested the heart-strengthening dagger, while Driver took them back to C03 and Ding Dan reported Dart’s refusal to return.
• The Doctor and the Director sent Lu Xiao and Driver to investigate the orphanage, where a Dreamscape trapped them in lives connected to Nini and Zhang Chaoya.
• Lu Xiao, the Director, and Driver confronted Black Cat, and Lu Xiao escaped the Dreamscape by inflicting pain on himself while the Director stayed behind to negotiate.
• Black Cat explained how Liuguang had entered the Dreamscape to take Xiaopidan’s place, and Liuguang left the orphanage carrying Nini after saying goodbye to the director.
• The Doctor removed Liuguang’s Sacrificial One status pending investigation, assigned Sly to investigate disease transfers, and had the Prison Doctor operate on Nini using Lu Xiao’s flesh and an Alchemy Array.
• The Doctor and the Director pursued experiments in flesh machinery and controlled mutation, and the Director injected himself with the rescued girl’s blood.
• The Prison Doctor reported that Nini’s illnesses had been removed, while the Doctor arranged her care and began a nine-day dream experiment to help Lu Xiao recover his memories.
• Lu Xiao realized he was dreaming during a taxi ride but could not control his actions, and a man armed with a wooden sword and bell confronted the Driver and his pixelated wife.

Lu Xiao joined the C03 team as his powers and curse drew growing attention, while Niclade prepared to summon Cthulhu. The group confronted Niclade at the opened gate, where a giant Black Cat appeared and the Doctor readied Serial Number 306-Cage.

• Zhang Chu recruited Lu Xiao into the Prison Warden Combat Squad, where Lu Xiao completed grueling tests and revealed the highest possible caliber of innate Mental Power.
• The Prison Doctor warned Lu Xiao that repeated use of the Bone Spur had awakened an evil god, while Lu Qian’s abilities alarmed the C03 staff and led the Doctor to protect the facility through Lu Xiao.
• Niclade opened a flesh-and-blood gate, and the Pope entered Cthulhu’s realm and emerged as a god devoted to the entity.
• The Doctor and Director brought Lu Xiao toward the battlefield, while Niclade’s ritual exposed R'lyeh and summoned the Feis King and the Clay Figurine.
• The Doctor summoned the Butler, who planted the Withered Branch in Niclade, and 02-Angel struck the island with a holy sword before the team went to investigate.
• Niclade emerged from the Flesh Gate, explained his deal with the Omniscient Mirror, and summoned an enormous figure that turned out to be a thousand-meter-tall Black Cat.
• Little Black’s dreamscape broke, revealing Niclade’s treelike body as his branches spread madness, and Lu Xiao shot him with the Corrupted Revolver, and the Doctor prepared Serial Number 306-Cage.

After surviving the Dark Prison, Lu Xiao joined the Anomaly Supervision Bureau, learned more about the Salvation Society, and trained with a growing squad. The arc ended with Niclade revealing himself as the bishop controlling the villagers who ambushed the squad.

• Lu Xiao and the others survived the Dark Prison’s attack, while the Omniscient Mirror swallowed Niclade’s eyeball and Lu Qian reunited with her unconscious father.
• Antie authorized the Gods Experiment, and Lu Xiao took part in tests that showed he could view images and footage that drove other people mad without suffering the same effects.
• Lu Xiao chose to stay with Chen Fei and the others, then watched Shuns interrogate the Taxi Driver and learned that the Salvation Society had arranged the Driver’s meeting with his wife.
• Bai Xuedong had Lu Xiao sign a military enlistment agreement and showed him records of the Salvation Society, whose members performed blood sacrifices in hopes of bringing down a True God.
• Bai Xuedong arranged a custom Tri-Edged Bayonet for Lu Xiao, and Doctor Li joined the dorm as Bai Suoyi arrived to expand the squad to six members.
• Doctor Li trained the squad and secretly prepared Liu Guang for undercover work, while Bai Xuedong assigned them to investigate a suspected Salvation Society hideout.
• Lu Xiao crashed the squad’s vehicle before Zhang Chu drove them into a village, where wary residents surrounded and rammed their vehicle.
• Chen Fei, Bai Suoyi, and Liu Guang fought the villagers before Chen Fei ordered everyone to flee, and Niclade identified himself as the Salvation Society bishop controlling them.
