Church of the Giants

Upon entering the temple of the Dosh Khaleen, he found a group of women sitting together, their minds wandering. Some were very young, while others were already ancient.

When they saw Eren enter, they all snapped out of their reveries. One Crone said:

"Khal, what brings you here?"

Eren said to them, "I have come to fulfill the prophecy."

"A member of the Dosh Khaleen once prophesied that one day, we Dothraki would unite in our sacred domain, Vaes Dothrak, and submit to the greatest Khal in history. Riding the stallion who mounts the world, he would lead his people to the ends of the earth, grinding all foreign peoples to dust beneath their feet."

"And now I have come. I have received divine power bestowed by a god, and this power will bring about the future foretold in the prophecy. I want you to send word to every Khalasar currently out there."

"Tell them that their king, the greatest Khal in history, has appeared. He will wait in the Holy City for them to come. If they do not come to see their king within six months, then six months from now, their king will ride the stallion who mounts the world and grind them to dust."

The Dosh Khaleen all laughed when they heard this. They simply could not imagine how the twelve- or thirteen-year-old boy before them could utter such wild, arrogant nonsense.

Many Khals had come here to see them. Although they had initially been curious when this twelve- or thirteen-year-old boy came to see them, since no one had ever become a Khal at that age, they had not doubted him. The four men following the boy clearly deferred to him, and the servants outside had not stopped them. He was obviously a Khal.

Watching them laugh, Eren laughed along with them. Soon, laughter filled the entire temple, even carrying outside.

They laughed because they saw a little brat making outrageous boasts and jokes, while Eren laughed at their ignorance and at the thought of their shock at what they were about to see.

Once Eren finished laughing, he said to the commanders, "Flock, Colin, Link, Modun, the four of you escort these Dosh Khaleen to the open ground outside. Let them see whether I am joking."

Eren emphasized the word "escort." Upon hearing his order, Flock and the other three violently hauled the women up from their chairs, the floor, and their beds. Those unwilling to get up received a few blows and were taken outside once they behaved.

The men escorted the women of the Dosh Khaleen to the open ground. Eren clapped his hands, and more than fifty Giants came walking over from the distance.

At the sight of these fifteen-meter Giants, the women of the Dosh Khaleen gaped in shock.

Lightning flashed, and Eren also moved onto the open ground ahead and transformed into a Giant. When the women saw Eren's fifty-meter Giant form, they were even more shocked, left speechless. Standing fifty meters tall, he looked far more towering and magnificent than those fifteen-meter Giants, brimming with power.

Eren spoke then:

"Do you still think I am joking? I am the one in the prophecy."

After the Dosh Khaleen recovered from their shock, the Crone who had spoken earlier stepped out from among them, knelt, and said:

"Your Majesty, with such power, you are undoubtedly the one foretold in the prophecy. We will issue a summons for you, calling those Khals to the Holy City to submit to you."

The woman shrewdly addressed Eren as king. From Eren's earlier words, he had discerned Eren's determination to unite the Dothraki and found a nation.

After hearing the woman's declaration, Eren said:

"After receiving the power bestowed by a god, I founded a church. This church offers its faith to the god who granted me power. I am the Pope, and you have now been recruited. From now on, you will pray to the god as nuns of the Church of the Giants."

"If any among you are devout enough to catch the god's attention, you will go to heaven after death,

serve the god, and receive eternal life. There, you can have anything you can imagine. You can even see people who were important to you but have already died." Seeing these women submit, Eren incorporated them into the Church of the Giants he had founded. These women of the Dosh Khaleen often held sacrifices and delivered prophecies in the Holy City. They were skilled at conducting sacrifices and coaxing people into believing in gods. Bringing them into the church offered every benefit and no harm.

As for whether they harbored disloyal thoughts, he would feed them blood wine and let the Coordinate Power teach them how to behave. He had yet to use the Coordinate's ability to alter memories, and he did not know whether one of these women would become the first.

Moreover, once Eren could create intelligent Giants, he could further unify their faith and strengthen their beliefs. After all, only people with faith could be fearless.

In the future, blood wine could also be disguised as holy water and given to people to drink. He would see whether he could develop some interesting functions from the Coordinate's gene-altering ability. For instance, if someone unable to conceive came to the church for a blessing to have a child, Eren could make blood wine from his own blood and incorporate the gene-altering ability into it.

Or, when someone was injured, he could use the Coordinate to pass the Giants' rapid regeneration ability to the injured person, then take it back once he recovered.

Of course, Eren would not give these benefits to just anyone he met. He would only offer a little when faith began to stir, to reinforce it. The number would certainly not be large. After all, if the god had not healed you, that meant you were not devout enough.

After seeing these women submit, Eren undid his Giant transformation and also sent the fifteen-meter Giants back outside the city to stand guard.

Eren looked at the women kneeling before him and said, "For these six months, I will live in the Holy City and wait for those Khals to arrive. After six months, I will go and subjugate the Khals who did not come. You must accompany me then. You are no longer the Khaleesis you once were, or the Dosh Khaleen you are now, but nuns of the Church of the Giants."

"Once I have united everyone, I will go elsewhere to found a nation, and this Holy City will be abandoned. Another Holy City will be built in the future. After all, with a change in faith, the sacred grounds must change as well."

After saying this to the women, Eren told them to hurry and get to work summoning the Khalasars.

Eren returned to his tent. He thought that now he had reached the Holy City, it was time to research how to create intelligent Giants. As those Khalasars arrived later, their timing would vary. With his status as king, transforming to demonstrate his power every time would waste a great deal of his time and cheapen his standing.

It was time to give someone the power of the Giants and have him go out and transform now and then to intimidate people. Nor was Eren afraid that someone would oppose him after receiving that power. The Coordinate Power was watching over things. Behave yourself, and you could use the power of the Giants as you pleased. Step out of line, and he could control you in an instant.
