The sun sank in the west, and sparse wisps of cooking smoke rose in the distance.
After running for two days in Titan form, Eren finally caught up with the Khalasar from before. Why two days? Because he had to stop from time to time to examine the tracks and make sure he was still heading in the right direction. After all, moving with a fifty-meter-tall body meant taking enormous strides, making it easy to lose the trail.
Seeing the cooking smoke in the distance, he prepared to charge straight over, display his power before them, and subdue that Khalasar.
Meanwhile, the people in the distant Khalasar felt the ground shake. Thinking another Khalasar was attacking them, they rushed out of their tents.
"Great Stallion above, what the fuck is that thing!"
"It's a giant! Run!"
"Don't panic! Take up your bows and attack!"
The voice belonged to Khal Rabo, the Khal of this Khalasar.
But amid the shock of seeing a giant for the first time, very few had the courage to attack it. Only a scattering of arrows flew toward Eren.
Eren paid no mind whatsoever to the scattered arrows coming at him.
A few clangs rang out as the arrows struck the Titan's body, doing nothing at all.
His Titan body wore a suit of armor, and he completely ignored these attacks.
Eren brought his Titan body to a halt, extended his right palm, and used the War Hammer Titan's ability to form a stone ball, which he hurled hard toward the Khalasar's camp ahead.
With a boom, the stone ball landed right in the middle of the Khalasar. Those at the center of the impact were crushed into pulp, while those nearby were blasted away, their fate unknown. Even those a little farther away were knocked off their feet along with their horses and kept coughing up blood.
At the sight, Khal Rabo collapsed to the ground in terror, lacking even the courage to mount a horse and flee. After all, even if he ran, with the Titan's strength, it could casually form another stone ball and throw it at him. He would never escape.
After throwing the stone, Eren ran up to the Khalasar and spoke directly through his Titan body:
"Submit or die!"
Before Khal Rabo could speak, one of his kos dropped to his knees and hurriedly said:
"I submit!"
Among the Dothraki, a khalasar referred to a tribe-like group of Dothraki nomads.
The leader of a khalasar was called a "Khal," while its heir was called a "khalakka."
Each khalasar was further divided into several parts called khas, and each khas was commanded by one of the Khal's lieutenants, called a "ko."
When a Khal died, the new Khal would take control of the entire khalasar.
Alternatively, the various khas within the khalasar would break away to become khalasars of their own. The small khalasar Eren had belonged to before was just such a splintered khas.
The ko who had previously led them had then become the Khal of the new khalasar.
The Dothraki would not follow an underage khalakka.
The kos would fight one another for control of the khalasar, while the young khalakka would be killed to prevent him from becoming a formidable rival in the future.
Before Khal Rabo could react, every Dothraki in his Khalasar had fallen to their knees.
"Hey! Are you still the proud steeds of the grasslands, warriors of honor? Pick up your arakhs! Don't-"
Before Khal Rabo could finish, Eren moved his Titan body over to him and crouched down, then reached out with his right index finger and thumb, pinched Khal Rabo around the body, and lifted him off the ground.
"Since you refuse to submit, you have no further part in this. You're free to refuse, and I'm free to crush you to death!"
With that, Eren squeezed hard and burst Khal Rabo's body. The blood splashed over the faces of those around him, especially the ko who had been the first to kneel, who was practically bathed in it.
"What's your name?"
Eren asked the first ko to surrender. The ko had long black hair and a scar on his right cheek.
He looked fierce and intimidating, yet no one would have expected him to be the first to kneel and surrender. Perhaps this was what it meant not to judge by appearances. "My name is Flock. The man you just crushed was Lhabo, our Khal. Oh, no, no, our former Khal. Now you are our Khal!"
"Flock!? What an interesting name. You can keep being a ko."
The name startled Eren for a moment, and then he let him remain a ko to see whether he would distinguish himself in the future.
After all, the previous man named Flock had been known for fighting four Titans single-handedly-the Female Titan, the Armored Titan, the Jaw Titan, and a human-shaped little Titan, an Ackerman-then getting shot in the neck by Gabi and hanging on to a ship by a rope in the sea all the way to Marley. He had been nicknamed Lord Flock.
With that, Eren lowered his Titan body onto one knee, emerged from the nape of its neck, and climbed down its body.
Flock and the people around him were so shocked by the sight that they could not speak. They had never imagined that the Titan had actually been transformed from the eleven- or twelve-year-old child standing before them.
"As you can see, I'm a person just like you. The reason I can turn into a Titan is that a god granted me the power to do so!"
"I will use this power to lead you to dominate the entire Dothraki Sea, unite all the Dothraki, and then conquer Essos! I will lead you to plunder everything, burn the houses of those men in iron clothes, rape their women, and seize their gold!"
Eren proclaimed this loudly to them. Watching him, Flock and the surrounding Dothraki grew excited and could not help thinking:
With this power, we could do all of that!
Although Eren understood where his Power of the Giants had come from, he still intended to use a god's name to fool them a little. After all, in this Game of Thrones world, gods really existed. Still, there was no need to worry too much about what obstacles their existence might pose. Very few could manifest their power before people. Aside from the Lord of Light having resurrected people, the other gods were practically dead, and the Seven were outright fictitious.
So the only things he needed to watch out for now were the various kinds of magic. Given magic's bizarre nature, it might be able to harm him without him knowing anything about it.
The most pressing task was to pass this power down through his bloodline. The known method should be to find more women and have more children. The fact that the first King of the Walls could bind his descendants with the Vow of Renouncing War, and even speak directly through their bodies, proved that taking over another body was entirely feasible.
Moreover, like the Founding Titan Ymir, he was the source of the power and could fully control those who carried his blood. After all, he was the king, not a slave like Ymir who had to obey the royal family. He was the master of this power. Unless he wanted it, no one could wrest control of the Coordinate from him. Even whether they could enter the Coordinate depended on his consent.
Another uncertain method was to distribute his spinal fluid to these Dothraki. After all, they were all Dothraki, and if their ancestry was traced far enough back, they certainly shared a genetic origin. Whether they could transform into Titans was hard to say, but if he gave them his spinal fluid, perhaps this generation would not be able to, while the next or the one after might.
In short, he first had to find a way to pass this power on. If he had many descendants or many people who had absorbed his spinal fluid, then in a certain sense, he would be immortal. Only his body would die, while his mind could live on forever.
