Arc 15The Shroud and the Retreat

The Doomsday Church and the Swarm shattered the Libra Sector’s coalition, while Zhang Han’s psionic avatars helped his forces defeat Zagara’s commanders. Zagara began retreating toward the Libra Sector as Chloe and Stars pressed their attacks on her rear.

  • Rita survived a terrorist attack, then awoke from surgery to learn the Swarm had resumed its assaults and was tasked with interrogating a captured cultist before Morgor soldiers freed him.
  • The Doomsday Church joined the Swarm in crushing the combined fleet, and Christina’s forces fell at Blonda as Zhang Han and the Overmind considered how to contain the Shroud’s influence.
  • Stars became the Goddess of Myriad Stars, used her psionic power to destroy Moras’s encirclement, and helped Zhang Han expand his campaign against Gult.
  • Zhang Han captured Gult’s Meteorite Fortresses while Zagara sent reinforcements and prepared a risky plan, but Kundera’s counteroffensive trapped his own fleet at Kaimat V.
  • Zagara abandoned her plans to defeat Kundera and chose to retreat toward the Libra Sector, ordering Moras and the other Queens to secure her route while Gult continued fighting Zhang Han.
  • Moras and her sisters feigned a rescue mission at Moor III, where Queen One sent Overlords toward Gult before Chloe and Stars sprang their attack.
  • Chloe invoked the Four-Winged Dragon God and routed Queen One’s defenders, while Queen One withdrew and ordered her fleet to cover her retreat.
Chapters 351–375 Vol. 4 Read

Ch. 351Suppression

Rita identified the customs airport attackers as cultists, fought them while protecting the captives, and was gravely wounded before the Steel Fairy Regiment intervened. After recovering, she was assigned to interrogate a captured terrorist whose mental defenses had thwarted psionic methods.

  • Rita identified four heavily armed cultist terrorists and secretly relayed their location and a request for the Steel Fairy Regiment.
  • When a terrorist attacked her position, Rita evaded his fire, wounded two attackers, and used Plasma Grenades and her rifle to kill another.
  • The terrorists retaliated by torturing and shooting captives, while Rita hid with a severe abdominal wound.
  • The Steel Fairy Regiment arrived with drones and explosives, and Rita saw the lead terrorist reveal his modified body before losing consciousness.
  • Five days later, Rita awoke after receiving cloned organs and learned that the Devouring Swarm had resumed attacking across the Libra Sector.
  • Rita was assigned to interrogate a captured cultist whose mental defenses resisted psionic extraction, with her superiors authorizing her to use whatever methods might yield information.

Ch. 352Interrogation

Rita interrogated a captured eagle-headed terrorist while two Steel Fairy soldiers beat him, but his talk of a coming Holy War suggested further attacks were planned. The interrogation was interrupted when two Morgor soldiers in Powered Armor seized Rita and shot the Steel Fairies.

  • Two Steel Fairy soldiers beat the handcuffed terrorist until Rita stopped them and began questioning him.
  • Rita threatened the terrorist and burned his face with a cigarette, but he taunted the Steel Fairies and praised the Eagle God.
  • The terrorist claimed his captain had taken him to a divine realm and that their organization would launch a Holy War against Rita's people.
  • Rita tried to provoke the terrorist into revealing more when urgent knocking interrupted the interrogation.
  • Two Morgor soldiers entered in Powered Armor, held Rita at gunpoint, and shot the two Steel Fairy soldiers with an electromagnetic rifle.

Ch. 353Holy War

The Judas Eagle completed his Ascension Ritual and learned that the Holy War had begun, then showed Rita the Church’s vision of God before killing her. On Giant Serpent Star, Johnny finished planning attacks across the Libra Sector as the Swarm and Church fleets prepared to strike Fairy Great Wall.

  • The Mogol soldiers freed the Judas Eagle, who entered the network and saw the Eagle God at the center of a vast mental galaxy.
  • The Judas Eagle showed Rita images of the Church’s green liquid helping civilizations and of civilizations joining fleets with the Devouring Swarm.
  • The Judas Eagle told Rita that her race bore original sin and shot her, while the Church zealots prepared to destroy facilities on Fairy Great Wall One Planet.
  • On Giant Serpent Star, Johnny used a terminal and intelligence from Typhon to mark civilizations and planets for attack.
  • Johnny reflected that the Swarm and Church fleets had rendezvoused and that conquering the Libra Sector would fulfill his promise to the Overmind.

Ch. 354Christina's troubles

Christina struggled to keep the Civilization Alliance united as the Devouring Swarm advanced toward the Fairy Great Wall. At Star System One, Gu Teng’s scattered combined fleet faced the Swarm’s arrival, but its opening attack proved far less effective than expected.

  • Christina faced political division, cult attacks, economic collapse, and rising military spending as the Swarm devastated the Libra Sector.
  • Christina learned that a Swarm Fleet of about 120,000 ships was heading for the Fairy Great Wall’s Star System One, and she began assembling a second fleet to reinforce the defenders if needed.
  • Gu Teng took command of the combined fleet, but several civilizations refused to gather their ships despite his repeated orders, leaving the fleet stretched across the star system.
  • Gu Teng led 60,000 Anfenli ships in an opening attack on the first 50,000 Swarm ships to emerge from hyperspace, but the Swarm’s adapted defenses limited its losses to fewer than 3,000 ships.
  • The Swarm’s Fang Warships prepared to counterattack as Gu Teng’s fleet faced the coming slaughter.

Ch. 355Sacrifice

Gu Teng’s combined fleet struggled against the Swarm Fleet, and the Anfenli used their own lives to power Tachyon Lances before withdrawing to the planet’s defenses. The Swarm then joined forces with twenty thousand unidentified steel ships and launched a renewed attack, leaving Gu Teng to defend with eighty thousand vessels.

  • Gu Teng watched the Swarm Fleet overwhelm the combined fleet’s shields and weapons, then ordered three thousand Anfenli battleships to fire Tachyon Lances at the Swarm’s large units.
  • The Tachyon Lances killed Swarm ships, but each firing agonizingly burned an Anfenli to death, and the first exchange cost the combined fleet around thirteen thousand ships.
  • Gu Teng ordered the fleet to retreat within range of the planetary defense platforms while the Swarm held the Hyperspace Route and awaited reinforcements.
  • After two hours, Gu Teng assembled eighty thousand ships and discovered twenty thousand unidentified steel ships emerging from hyperspace alongside the Swarm.
  • Gu Teng sent news of the apparent alliance to the rear and ordered his ships into a defensive formation as the Swarm fleet launched its attack.

Ch. 356Betrayal

Gu Teng initially held the Swarm at the Fairy Great Wall One Star System, but a Morgor attack on his flagship triggered distrust and betrayal throughout the combined fleet. The battle ended with the Anfenli and Evans forces destroyed and only fifty thousand of the combined fleet’s ships escaping.

  • Gu Teng led the combined fleet through a favorable exchange with the Swarm, losing a defensive platform but inflicting heavier ship losses.
  • As Gu Teng addressed the fleet, a Morgor warship crippled his flagship before an escort destroyed it.
  • False reports and attacks by five civilizations embedded as agents shattered trust, while Swarm-aligned forces launched a coordinated assault from fleets, platforms, and planets.
  • The Anfenli and Evans fleets gathered and retreated, but the Swarm Fleet and Doomsday Church forces surrounded them; other civilizations refused Gu Teng’s calls for help and fled.
  • After a day of fighting, fifty thousand of the combined fleet’s ships escaped, while one hundred thousand were lost and the Anfenli and Evans main forces were annihilated.

Ch. 357The Fairies' Courage

After the alliance’s defeat, Christina rejected surrender and called the civilizations of the Libra Sector to fight alongside the Evans at Blonda. The Swarm attacked before the planet’s defenses were ready, and Christina led the outnumbered defenders into battle, where the Evans’ fleet began to overpower the Doomsday Church’s vanguard.

  • Johnny watched the alliance’s fleets fall, while Christina learned that betrayal and desertion had shattered the coalition and left the Swarm’s opponents defeated.
  • Christina told Alice to reject surrender talks and send a message urging the Libra Sector’s civilizations to fight beside the Evans at Blonda.
  • Christina ordered Blonda evacuated and transformed into a fortress, but ten days later the Swarm fleet reached the planet before its planned defenses were complete.
  • Christina took command aboard the Queen’s Blade, positioning the eighty thousand defending ships between two defense platforms against eighty thousand Swarm ships and fifty thousand Doomsday Church ships.
  • Christina ordered the Evans fleet to fire, and its ships used their formation-changing Fairy Dance to keep up their attacks while the Doomsday Church fleet began to falter.

Ch. 358Sword and fire

Masuk rallied the Doomsday Church fleets into a suicidal charge, and Zhang Han unknowingly answered their prayers by empowering them with psionics. Their sudden strength broke Christina’s defenses, leaving her fleet surrounded and Blonda under threat.

  • The War Cerebrate agreed to give Masuk’s fleets more time before the Swarm Fleet took the lead.
  • Masuk called on the Doomsday Church fleets to charge, and the worshippers united in a fervor that alarmed Christina.
  • Zhang Han sensed hundreds of billions of prayers and poured psionic power into the praying fleets.
  • An immense Psionics Field strengthened the Church’s warships, which broke through the Anfenli and Evans formations and routed their allies.
  • The War Cerebrate launched an all-out assault, surrounding Christina’s fleet and destroying the defensive platforms.
  • Christina rejected her adjutant’s suggestion to retreat to Blonda, questioning whether holding out could change the outcome.

Ch. 359The Queen's fall

Christina ordered the Queen's Blade to attack the Swarm, but psionic constructs overwhelmed the Evans coalition and killed her. Zhang Han watched the defeat, worried that the Shroud was changing their existence, and raised his concerns with the Overmind consciousness, who began examining the images he sent.

  • Christina sent the Queen's Blade against the Swarm and remembered her daughter Liliya as the battle turned against her.
  • Doomsday Church psionic constructs attacked the Queen's Blade and the Evans coalition, overwhelming their defenses and leaving defeat certain.
  • The Queen's Blade exploded above Blonda, and the Evans Fairies realized their queen had fallen.
  • Zhang Han watched the battle, worried that the Shroud's growing influence and its worshippers were changing his consciousness.
  • The Overmind consciousness dismissed Zhang Han's warning at first, then reconsidered when Zhang Han compared the influence to currents of thought in the Swarm Network.
  • The Overmind consciousness began watching the images of the psionic avatars that Zhang Han had sent.

Ch. 360The fuse

Zhang Han and his advisers found a way to prevent the Shroud-born gods and their Subsidiary Networks from contaminating the Swarm Network by regulating their faith and using the gods as replaceable fuses. The plan left the Humanity Consciousness with the work of establishing their tenets while the Overmind could continue the war and benefit from their growing power.

  • The Humanity Consciousness stopped the Overmind Consciousness from proposing to destroy the civilizations affected by the avatars and asked to consult Laplace and Abaddon.
  • Zhang Han, Laplace, and Abaddon concluded that they could not stop the Shroud’s expansion and would have to adapt to it.
  • Laplace determined that the consciousness avatars could act as fuses, separating the Subsidiary Networks’ effects from the Swarm Network.
  • Zhang Han decided to standardize the gods’ tenets so their faith would be regulated and their networks would not contaminate him.
  • The plan let the Overmind use the avatars in battle and helped Zhang Han’s Psionic Power grow, but it would consume the Humanity Consciousness’s free time.
  • The Humanity Consciousness wondered whether Laplace had chosen the plan because it spared his research time at its expense.

Ch. 361Moras's ambush

Stars and Chloe struggled to advance through Zagara’s core territory, and Moras ambushed Stars’s divided fleet at a Hatchery system. Stars refused to retreat and chose an aggressive counterattack, leaving the battle’s outcome unresolved.

  • Stars and Chloe advanced slowly through Zagara’s territory, losing fleet units to ambushes and taking only five Hatchery systems in a month.
  • Stars divided her five-hundred-thousand-unit fleet to attack three planets and disable the system’s Dyson Membrane transfer system.
  • Moras sprang her trap, revealing enemy forces on all three planets and a three-hundred-thousand-unit fleet that jumped into the system.
  • Stars contacted Chloe, who sent five hundred thousand units to reinforce her, and received permission from Zhang Han’s Overmind consciousness to retreat if necessary.
  • Stars chose the most aggressive counterattack plan, intending to rescue the nearest fleet, join the middle force, and then face the enemy in a decisive battle.

Ch. 362Myriad stars

Stars fought Moras across the star system, drawing their fleets together while Moras gained a numerical advantage and surrounded her forces. When Stars wavered over whether to retreat, Zhang Han offered her a new role, and she became the Goddess of Myriad Stars.

  • Moras reacted to Stars’ unexpected tactics by ordering her fleet toward the nearest planet for a decisive battle.
  • Stars used a two-front attack at the first planet and coordinated her fleets’ movements toward the middle planet, while Moras’s forces suffered heavier losses.
  • Moras left slower vessels behind and caught Stars’s retreating fleet with a much larger force, surrounding it before it could reach the middle planet.
  • A War Cerebrate urged Stars to retreat, but Zhang Han contacted her through the network and offered her a role as a deity who would guide mortals and help calm the network’s thoughts.
  • Stars pledged loyalty to the Overmind, and Zhang Han named her the Goddess of Myriad Stars.

Ch. 363Investiture of the gods

Stars used her divine connection to the Swarm to empower her fleet with psionics and defeat Moras in a crushing battle. The victory left Stars exhausted, while Zhang Han and his two consciousnesses debated whether to use the Shroud’s power more aggressively.

  • Zhang Han linked Stars to the Swarm network and gave her the knowledge and power to wield psionics as the Goddess of Myriad Stars.
  • Stars teleported her 180,000-ship fleet into Moras’ encirclement and used a psionics field to strengthen the Swarm forces.
  • Stars’ enhanced fleet broke through Moras’ encirclement, joined the trapped ships, and annihilated Moras’ forces despite Moras ordering her fleets to hold the enemy while she escaped.
  • Moras escaped with an elite fleet, but lost nearly all of her 750,000 ships; Stars retained 350,000 of her 500,000 ships before falling asleep from exhaustion.
  • Humanity Consciousness urged caution about the Shroud, while Overmind Consciousness argued that Zhang Han should use the divine avatars to strengthen the Swarm further.

Ch. 364Gult's predicament

Zhang Han committed more Swarm forces to attack Gult after gaining psionic support, while Gult struggled to defend the Twin Star System with dwindling troops. The chapter left Gult and Kesaite without hope of reinforcements, as Zagara had sent her available support to Moras.

  • The humanity consciousness and the overmind consciousness agreed to limit psionic use and record data while studying the Shroud.
  • Zhang Han sent Stars and Chloe another million-strong Swarm fleet, prepared three consciousness avatars to attack Gult, and assigned Nalga a million-strong fleet to strike the other star system.
  • Gult watched Zhang Han’s stronger forces arrive and told Kesaite that his two-million-strong fleet was steadily shrinking without reinforcements from Zagara.
  • Gult explained that Zagara had sent the only five hundred thousand reinforcements to Moras after Moras lost a fleet of seven hundred and fifty thousand.
  • Kesaite realized that Zagara would not reinforce them, leaving Gult’s defense with no prospect of additional support.

Ch. 365Intensifying the confrontation

Nalga and Kesaite fought a bloody war of attrition in Kesaite's star system while Zhang Han and Gult intensified their month-long battle, adapting their units and tactics. Zhang Han's forces gained the upper hand at two outer Meteorite Fortresses and began deploying Warrior Bugs to contest them.

  • Kesaite returned to his system to prepare defenses as Nalga led Mutalisks and Scourge through the Hyperspace Route to spread Green Mist Spores.
  • Nalga and Kesaite fought a methodical battle of attrition, using Green Mist Spores, Meteorite Fortresses, and close-range assaults.
  • Gult modified his Spore Towers and Plasma Towers and created Strong Mutalisks to counter Zhang Han's Mutalisks and Scourge.
  • Zhang Han used more precise Psionic Storm attacks as both sides continually adapted their weapons and tactics during a month of fighting.
  • Zhang Han's fleet and War Hatchery gained the advantage at two outer Meteorite Fortresses, prompting Gult's fleet to give up some airspace.
  • After taking control of the airspace, Zhang Han deployed twenty million Warrior Bugs to fight for control of the Meteorite Fortresses.

Ch. 366Victory through numbers

Zhang Han’s forces captured two of Gult’s Meteorite Fortresses and opened the Hyperspace Route, then launched a million-strong assault that exposed the scale of his production and logistical advantage. Gult realized he had badly underestimated Zhang Han as his remaining defenses faced a decisive attack.

  • Zhang Han used Fang Warships, Leviathans, and Corruptors to clear defenses and spread his creep across Gult’s two Meteorite Fortresses.
  • Gult struggled to replace his mounting Swarm Fleet losses and relied on the fortresses to draw Zhang Han’s forces away from his fleet.
  • After the second fortress was about to fall, Gult rammed a reserve meteorite into it and shattered it to deny Zhang Han its use.
  • Zhang Han captured two of Gult’s eight Meteorite Fortresses, opened the Hyperspace Route, and brought a million-strong Swarm Fleet and a second War Hatchery into the system.
  • Gult recognized that Zhang Han’s strength and fleet production far exceeded the prewar estimates, as his daily production neared five hundred thousand ships.

Ch. 367Three plans

Zagara weighed three plans after learning that the Consciousness Fragment threatened to overrun the Twin Star System, then chose a risky strategy and ordered Gult and Moras to delay the enemy for a month. Kundera recognized that Zagara was reinforcing her rear and prepared a counteroffensive while Zhang Han continued attacking Gult’s defenses.

  • Gult warned Zagara that the Consciousness Fragment’s forces could overwhelm the Twin Star System within a month, forcing her to consider abandoning her gains against Kundera or risking a gamble.
  • Zagara chose her high-risk plan, sent Gult four hundred thousand more vessels and rear-area production support, and ordered him to hold out for a month.
  • Zagara ordered Moras to delay the Consciousness Fragment’s Detachment Fleet and prevent it from circling behind Gult.
  • Kundera learned that Zagara was retreating and, after seeing Zhang Han’s footage of the threatened rear, warned Zhang Han not to advance too deeply and launched a counteroffensive of his own.
  • Zhang Han deployed his forces across the Twin Star System, where Gult’s remaining fortresses, Warrior Bug Nests, and Fortress Planet formed a second defensive line.

Ch. 368Kaimat V

Zhang Han struggled to break through Gult’s defenses while Stars and Chloe exploited Moras’s weakness to devastate Zagara’s rear. As Kundera pursued Zagara’s retreating forces, he identified Kaimat V as an opportunity to launch a surprise attack and reclaim the strategic system.

  • Zhang Han’s million-ship fleet traded heavy fire with Gult’s fortified defenses, but neither side could quickly decide the battle.
  • After receiving reinforcements, Stars and Chloe discovered that Moras had only 800,000 ships and divided their fleet to strike Zagara’s rear production and map its Hyperspace Routes.
  • Zhang Han recalled Kagat and sent a million ships to protect Stars and Chloe’s rear as they advanced through Zagara’s territory.
  • Zhang Han captured another Meteorite Fortress, while Nalga gained partial air superiority against Kesaite; Zagara’s reinforcements helped Gult stabilize his line.
  • Kundera pursued Zagara’s retreating forces and found that a million-ship Swarm Fleet had been pinned down, leaving Kaimat V as its only retreat route.
  • After reconnaissance revealed few defenders in Kaimat V, Kundera prepared to surprise-attack the strategic hub and recapture it.

Ch. 369Counter-encirclement

Kundera led a 1.5-million-strong Swarm fleet into Kaimat V to ambush Zagara, but her concealed forces surrounded him and trapped his fleet. He began counterattacking the Meteorite Fortresses and realized Zagara might be preparing a Light Particle Strike.

  • Kundera entered the Kaimat V System, blocked the Hyperspace Route with part of his fleet, and advanced on Zagara's retreating forces.
  • Zagara's forces sprang a trap using engine-fitted asteroids, hidden Swarm units, and Green Mist Spores, disrupting Kundera's formation and surrounding his fleet.
  • Kundera learned that another million-strong fleet was approaching from the rear, leaving his 1.5-million-strong force trapped between Zagara's forces.
  • Kundera ordered his troops to resist Zagara's frontal assault and counterattacked the Meteorite Fortresses, using Drones to establish Hatcheries and Defense Towers.
  • Kundera's forces surrounded two of the four fortresses and discovered that subordinate Nodes, rather than Zagara herself, commanded the ambush; he suspected she was preparing a Light Particle Strike.

Ch. 370Breakthrough

Kundera held out at Kaimat V while Zagara revised her plans, and Zhang Han unleashed a powerful Psionics Field that broke through Gult’s defenses. Gult reported the fall of the star system as Zhang Han’s forces encircled him.

  • Kundera amplified the Swarm Network to contact his rear reinforcements and continued contesting the asteroid belt while he waited for Zagara’s fleet to arrive.
  • Zagara learned Kundera had brought one and a half million vessels to Kaimat V, abandoned her chance to use a Light Particle Strike, and ordered her ambush force to attack him before his reinforcements arrived.
  • Zagara launched a limited counterattack elsewhere, but Gult’s defense faltered after two more Meteorite Fortresses fell and Zhang Han’s Psionics Field empowered a million Swarm vessels.
  • Zhang Han sent his forces through the gaps in Gult’s line and began encircling his fleet as Gult tried and failed to reorganize his defenses.
  • Gult reported that the star system had fallen and ordered Scout Overlords to record the battlefield, including the Four-Armed Serpent God, Four-Winged Eagle God, and Four-Tailed Beast God attacking the Meteorite Fortresses.

Ch. 371Worse News

Moras and her Queen sisters concealed their losses until Moore III and Gult’s Twin Star System were nearly lost, while Zagara’s forces remained deadlocked with Kundera in Kaimet V. After learning the bad news and blaming the Shroud and psionics for her setbacks, Zagara reconsidered who posed the greatest threat to her.

  • Moras and the other Queens reported to Zagara that Moore III and other rear systems had fallen and Gult’s Twin Star System was close to defeat, after previously hiding their losses.
  • Kundera held his position in Kaimet V with defensive towers and eight hundred thousand Swarm ships despite Zagara surrounding him with one million six hundred thousand.
  • Zagara received the reports as she prepared to lead an elite fleet against Kundera, and realized Gult’s forces might be annihilated.
  • Furious, Zagara wounded the Swarm Leviathan, then blamed the Milky Way’s psionics and the Shroud for disrupting her plans.
  • Zagara calmed down and concluded that the Consciousness Fragment, with his mastery of psionics and powerful Hatcheries, was a greater threat than Kundera.

Ch. 372A Change of Tactics

Zagara concluded that she could not defeat Kundera and the Consciousness Fragment with her remaining forces, so she planned to retreat into the Libra Sector and rebuild her strength. She began disguising her withdrawal as an offensive, while Moras and the other Queen Nodes struggled to accept that their Matriarch could lose.

  • Zagara examined the war map and decided that remaining between Kundera and the Consciousness Fragment would leave her surrounded and destroyed.
  • After three hours of failed simulations, a glimmer in Zagara's Psionics Organ pointed away from the Swarm's ravaged region, and she eventually chose to retreat into the Libra Sector.
  • Zagara planned to preserve three million ships, protect her rear, and return for the Overmind position after rebuilding her forces.
  • Zagara ordered three Swarm Nodes to attack Kundera as if launching a counteroffensive, hoping to buy time for her withdrawal.
  • Zagara brought Moras and the other Queen Nodes into the network, and they questioned whether retreat was truly necessary.

Ch. 373Different Swarms, Different Nodes

Zagara ordered Moras and two Queens to keep the Hyperspace Route to the Libra Sector clear while her main force returned, framing the retreat as preparation for an offensive. In the Twin Star System, Zhang Han tried to recruit Gult, but Gult refused to abandon his loyalty to Zagara and chose to fight to the death; Moras then worried over the overwhelming forces threatening her mission.

  • Zagara reassured the Swarm Network that she had ceded systems to build strength and ordered Moras and the other Queens to secure the route to the Libra Sector for the next seven to ten days.
  • Zhang Han’s forces captured the Meteorite Fortresses, leaving Gult and four hundred thousand vessels defending the final two planets against Zhang Han’s two million.
  • Zhang Han offered Gult a place in the Swarm’s future, but Gult reaffirmed his loyalty to Node Zagara and said he would fight until he died.
  • Zhang Han reflected on the Swarm’s strength and turned back to the battle, determined to defeat Zagara and capture Gult’s remaining strongholds quickly.
  • Moras discussed her mission with her two sisters and realized that her six hundred thousand vessels could not stop at least five enemy flotillas, each numbering more than five hundred thousand.

Ch. 374Diverting the Trouble Elsewhere

Moras devised a plan to draw the enemy toward Moor III and the Twin Star System, buying time until the Matriarch returned. Queen One led the attack and escorted Overlords toward Kaimat V, while Queen Two waited to support her.

  • Moras proposed attacking Moor III and feigning a rescue attempt to divert enemy forces and delay their advance.
  • The two Queens agreed to Moras's plan, with one assigned to attack and the other to provide support.
  • Stars and Chloe realized Zagara's raiding fleets were gathering at Moor III, where they had placed a fifty-thousand-strong fleet as bait.
  • Queen One entered the Moor III System with a hundred-thousand-strong fleet and escorted five thousand Overlords toward the Twin Star System route.
  • Queen One saw the defending fleet in formation and cautiously proceeded with the plan.

Ch. 375Successive breakthroughs

Chloe discovered that Queen One was escorting Overlords toward the Twin Star System and advanced her attack plan to help capture the system sooner. Her Void Swarm shattered Queen One’s defenses, while the fleeing Queen ordered every vessel forward to protect her retreat.

  • Chloe and the assisting War Cerebrate concluded that Queen One’s Overlords were likely headed to reinforce Gult in the Twin Star System, so Chloe and Stars moved up their pincer plan.
  • Queen One sent the Overlords into hyperspace without interference, then Chloe ordered her fifty thousand vessels to attack.
  • Chloe invoked the Four-Winged Dragon God, turning her fleet into void forms and unleashing a devastating blast that destroyed many of Queen One’s ships.
  • Queen One abandoned resistance, gave command to the War Cerebrate, and withdrew with an elite detachment as Chloe’s fleet routed the defenders.
  • Chloe’s ten-thousand-ship vanguard broke through the first defensive line with minimal losses, and she led the rest of her fleet against the second line.
  • Queen One ordered the entire fleet forward to cover her retreat, overruling the War Cerebrate’s recommendation to defend in successive layers.
