Lin Qingyang was carried by Cang Mo all the way into a spacious cave.
There were fire pots burning around the cave wall, and the flames jumped, reflecting various horrific torture instruments and chains hanging on the wall. It was obvious that this was an interrogation room.
After seeing the surroundings clearly, Lin Qingyang's nerves became tense again. Just now, she was so angry at the bottom of the pit that she took action as soon as her brain got hot. Now she calmed down and looked at the iron hooks stained with blood. She couldn't help but feel a chill on her back.
Cang Mo walked to the large stone chair covered with animal skins in the middle of the room and put Lin Qingyang on it.
Lin Qingyang looked at the tall man with a heavy face in front of him, and his voice became a little weaker unconsciously. "What... what do you want to do again?"
Cang Mo didn't say anything, just glanced at him, then squatted down in front of him and reached out to take off his shoes and socks.
"Hey!" Lin Qingyang was startled and shrank back nervously, but Cang Mo grabbed her ankle.
The man's warm palms pressed gently on the red and swollen area where he had just sprained. After checking to make sure that no bones were injured, he started to knead it gently.
Lin Qingyang froze on the stone chair and looked at him in surprise.
"You have my demonic energy, those wolves dare not touch you." Cang Mo lowered his head, his voice was muffled, and he could not hear his emotions, "I didn't want to hurt you."
Lin Qingyang was stunned for a moment before realizing that he was explaining to himself.
His tense shoulders slowly relaxed, he leaned back in his chair and snorted, "So you called me to this damn place just to scare me?"
Cang Mo raised his eyes and looked at him with a helpless tone. "I'm not that boring. If you don't run around, you won't run into them at all."
Lin Qingyang looked at him with some confusion. "Then why did you bring me here?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he saw Yin Yu striding into the cave. When he raised his eyes, he saw Lin Qingyang sitting on the only chair, while his king was squatting on the ground and pinching someone's feet!
Seeing Yin Yu's jaw-dropping expression, a trace of embarrassment flashed across Lin Qingyang's face. He awkwardly pulled back his feet and put on his shoes and socks haphazardly. Cang Mo's expression remained normal, he stood up slowly and straightened his clothes.
"Your Majesty, we are here." Yinyu quickly lowered his head and pretended that he didn't see anything.
Cang Mo nodded, Yin Yu waved his hand, and several demon soldiers led six or seven bull-headed half-demon in. As soon as those half-demon entered the door, they knelt down with a few plops and looked at Cang Mo tremblingly, not even daring to express their anger.
Cang Mo turned his head to look at Lin Qingyang and explained, "They came with the drunken rat. They were caught when they left the city, but the drunken rat was not inside. After all, they are from Yinshi City, so I asked you to come and interrogate them together."
Lin Qingyang suddenly realized that it was for this, and then glanced at Cang Mo with some dissatisfaction. "Your people didn't say anything, how could I know what they were here for!"
Cang Mo turned to look at Yin Yu: "You didn't tell him?"
Yin Yu's face stiffened and he said straightforwardly, "Your Majesty has told me that this human race is scheming and the best at deceiving others. You must not say another word to him!"
Cang Mo: "..."
Lin Qingyang raised his eyebrows and looked at Cang Mo, and said quietly, "I can't tell that His Highness the Demon King likes to speak ill of people behind their backs."
Cang Mo coughed lightly, touched his nose with some guilt, turned his head, and cast his cold eyes on the bull-headed half-demon.
"Where is the wine rat?" Cang Mo asked coldly.
"Your Highness, please forgive me!" an older half-demon with a bull head said with a bitter face, "We are the ones he hired to transport the goods, we really don't know anything!"
Lin Qingyang looked them over. Most of these bull-headed half-demon were simple-minded and strong. They were often hired to carry bags in the hidden city. They didn't seem to be able to cause trouble.
"You don't know anything, but you know that if something happens, you'll run out of the city?" Cang Mo's voice deepened, and the pressure around him made the half-demon tremble even more.
"Your Highness is wronged! It was the drunkard who asked us to leave the city quickly. He was the boss who paid for it, so we just obeyed!"
Cang Mo looked at the few people with cold eyes and narrowed his eyes in displeasure.
"They probably didn't lie." Lin Qingyang said at the right time.
Cang Mo looked at him and heard Lin Qingyang continue, "I think the drunkards deliberately used them to attract your attention so that he can sneak away."
"After the accident, all the exits of Demon Emperor City were sealed and he couldn't get out." Cang Mo frowned.
"So he didn't go out and is still in the city." Lin Qingyang said, looking at Cang Mo with a determined expression, "I probably know where he is hiding."
Cang Mo looked at him in surprise.
A moment later, four golden spirit shadow horses let out a clear neigh, pulling the luxurious black gold carriage into the sky from the Demon King's Palace, driving smoothly above the main road of the Demon Emperor City. Yin Yu led a group of elite demon soldiers to guard the side.
The demon clansmen on the street raised their heads one after another, pointing excitedly, guessing whether His Highness the Demon King was in the carriage.
In the carriage, Lin Qingyang was leaning leisurely on the cushions, holding a tea cup, and looking at the rough-style buildings outside the window through the half-open window lattice.
Opposite him, Cang Mo was looking at a note in his hand, which contained the address Lin Qingyang had just written.
"Baoyue Pavilion?" Cang Mo read out the name, "Is this the store in Yinshi?"
"The bank opened by Fusheng Pavilion is responsible for the transfer of spiritual stones from both sides." Lin Qingyang replied.
"How are you sure he's there?"
"Because Baoyue Pavilion, in addition to regular business, also has a hidden service - providing shelter to half-demon in trouble." Lin Qingyang explained, "Drunken Mouse is now being hunted by the whole city. He is conspicuous wherever he hides as a half-demon. Baoyue Pavilion is his only choice."
Cang Mo grasped the key point keenly and narrowed his eyes slightly. "Provide shelter, and then what?"
Lin Qingyang paused while drinking tea and looked away with a guilty conscience. "Then... the person will be quietly sent back to Yin City through some special channels. However, he has only been away for a few days, and with so much noise, he probably hasn't had time to leave the city yet."
Cang Mo stared at him. "In other words, Yinshi has a secret channel in Demon Emperor City, and you can come and go at will without supervision?"
Lin Qingyang coughed dryly and said awkwardly, "It's only for special circumstances. It's definitely not something you would do in normal business."
Cang Mo glanced at him indifferently, then lowered his head to drink tea, and did not continue to pursue the matter.
Lin Qingyang secretly breathed a sigh of relief and lowered his head to sip some tea.
The carriage became quiet, with only the faint sound of wheels rolling over.
After a while, Cang Mo suddenly asked, "Were you really scared at the bottom of the pit just now?"
Lin Qingyang's fingers holding the tea cup tightened slightly. He lowered his eyes and was silent for a moment, then asked softly, "Cang Mo, what do you want to do by bringing me back?"
Cang Mo raised his eyes and looked at him, but didn't answer.
"I know you hate me, and I know what happened back then. No amount of talking now can make up for anything." Lin Qingyang paused, and then continued, "But apart from money, I only have this life left. I really want to make it up to you."
Cang Mo listened quietly, his amber eyes bottomless, and it was impossible to tell what he was thinking.
After a long while, Cang Mo lowered his eyes and looked at the tea cup in his hand, and said in a deep voice, "I agree with what you said before."
Lin Qingyang was stunned for a moment, and her mind turned several times before she finally came to her senses. "You... agree?"
"I also want to hide 30% of the future profits." Cang Mo's tone was as calm as if he was really just discussing a deal.
He agreed so simply that Lin Qingyang was confused for a moment. After a while, he nodded hesitantly. "... Okay."
Cang Mo raised his eyes again, with a faint smile on his lips, "Then it's a deal."
"Then you... don't hate me anymore?" Lin Qingyang asked tentatively again.
Cang Mo chuckled, "You're right, what happened in the past has happened, and holding on to it won't change anything. Everyone should still look forward."
Lin Qingyang was a little surprised that he would say this, but then he quickly figured out that he was now the Demon King. Compared with the vague grievances in the past, the tangible interests and the development of Demon Emperor City were obviously more important. Sure enough, he had grown up and knew the importance of money.
"It's great if you think so." Lin Qingyang agreed with a smile, paused, and then asked uneasily, "Now that we have agreed, will you... let me go back?"
Cang Mo looked at him with gentle eyes, but there was a hint of profound meaning in his tone. "When the matter of the drunken rat is found out, I will have someone send you back."
Hearing this, Lin Qingyang's hanging heart finally fell back into her stomach, and the biggest crisis was relieved. However, looking at Cang Mo's stern and mature face, there was a feeling of emptiness and sourness in her heart.
