The carriage flew through the city and landed on a long street lined with shops. The carriage swayed slightly and then stopped. There were noisy discussions and shouts outside.
"Your Majesty, Baoyue Pavilion has arrived." Yin Yu's voice came.
Cang Mo got off the carriage first and then helped Lin Qingyang down.
The surrounding demon traders were watching from a distance. They were originally talking a lot, but when they saw Cang Mo coming down, they all instantly became quiet and did not dare to speak.
The shop in Baoyue Pavilion in front of me is small and its signboard is very low-key, making it inconspicuous in a row of commercial streets.
Cang Mo asked Yin Yu to guard the front and rear entrances, and then helped Lin Qingyang in.
The half-demon shopkeeper with a pair of goat horns came out of the counter, looked at Lin Qingyang and then at Cang Mo behind him, his expression immediately became serious. Cang Mo didn't often show up in Demon Emperor City, but most people would recognize him due to his eye-catching appearance.
"Your Highness! I wonder what your Highness has ordered?" the shopkeeper nodded.
"Is the drunkard here with you?" Cang Mo asked directly.
The shopkeeper lowered his head and said, "Your Highness is joking. That drunken rat is a wanted person in the whole city. How dare you hide it secretly?"
Cang Mo frowned and turned to look at Lin Qingyang.
Lin Qingyang stepped forward and pulled him away, showing a jade sign and saying, "From Fusheng Pavilion."
The shopkeeper's expression lit up and he said respectfully, "What are your orders, boss?"
"Where is the wine rat?" Lin Qingyang asked.
"I came here last night, and I'm putting it in the darkroom right now." the shopkeeper replied neatly.
Cang Mo: "..."
"The people under you are really loyal." Cang Mo mocked displeasedly.
Lin Qingyang smiled awkwardly, "Don't worry about these details, business matters." After that, he looked at the shopkeeper and said, "Take me to him."
"Yes!" the shopkeeper said, leading the two of them to the back of the house.
After passing through the small front hall of Baoyue Pavilion, there is a unique and quiet courtyard at the back.
"What was the state of the drunken rat when he came? Did he tell you anything?" Lin Qingyang asked as he walked.
Shopkeeper Yang said, "I didn't dare to ask any more questions. He was covered in mud when he came in. When he entered, he knelt on the ground and cried out, saying that someone was trying to harm him. I saw him like that, so I put him in the dark room and planned to ask Fusheng Pavilion for instructions."
As he spoke, his eyes involuntarily glanced at Cang Mo, who was supporting someone next to him.
The three of them walked all the way to the rockery in the center of the yard and stopped.
"The darkroom is down here." The shopkeeper said, stretched out his hand and pressed a few times on an inconspicuous stone on the rockery, and then turned a stalagmite next to it according to a certain pattern.
Accompanied by a low "zaza" sound, a gap slowly opened at the bottom of the rockery, revealing a stone step leading underground, and a damp, cold musty smell hit the face.
"Is he down there?" Lin Qingyang stepped forward and looked into the dark hole.
"Yes, I specifically told him not to come out no matter what noise he heard." The shopkeeper said, took out a crystal from his arms to illuminate it, and walked down first, "The wine boss? The wine boss? The boss is here to see you."
Lin Qingyang and Cang Mo followed closely behind. The darkroom was not big, only about two feet in diameter. The four walls were made of thick bluestone, and the sound insulation was excellent. There were a few crystal stones hanging on the wall for lighting. The small room was empty, with only a table and a bed, but not a single person.
"Where are the people?!" the shopkeeper exclaimed, rushed in a few steps, and looked around, but he could see clearly in the dark room, and there were no drunk mice at all.
Lin Qingyang frowned and stepped forward to take a look. There were also a few bites of steamed buns and an inconspicuous baggage on the table. The baggage was scattered, and a few old clothes were exposed inside.
"It's strange, it was still here when we just delivered the food." The shopkeeper said anxiously.
"Everything is there. He probably ran away when he heard the noise." Lin Qingyang said lightly.
"But there is no place for him to hide outside. Where can he run?" the shopkeeper asked with a puzzled look.
Cang Mo looked around the closed stone room and frowned slightly.
Lin Qingyang looked at him and said, "Since no one is here, let's go up first and then look elsewhere."
Cang Mo raised his eyebrows and glanced at him without saying anything, then turned and walked towards the steps. The footsteps of the three people disappeared along the stone steps, followed by the sound of the machine turning, and the darkroom became quiet again.
Time passed bit by bit, and only the residual musty smell in the air was fermenting. About half a quarter of an hour later, in the corner of the originally silent dark room, the ground under the wooden bed suddenly made an extremely subtle "swirling" sound. Then, a bluestone slab that seemed to fit perfectly shook slightly, and someone pushed a crack open from below.
A pair of sneaky little eyes poked out through the gap, and they raised their ears and listened for a while. After confirming that there was no movement outside, the stone slab was completely opened, and a huge mouse head poked out, followed by a short and round human body. The round belly got stuck at the entrance of the hole for a while before it was pulled out, and it collapsed on the ground panting.
"I'm scared to death, but luckily I'm smart!" The drunken rat said to himself, stroking his chest, "What the hell kind of shelter is this? It's not reliable at all!"
The drunkard got up and cursed, walked to the table to grab half of the buns on the table, and was about to stuff it into his mouth when a chuckle suddenly came from the stairs. The drunkard froze, turned his head tremblingly, and saw a dark staircase. Lin Qingyang came out of the shadows and looked at him with a smile, and the taller figure behind him was Cang Mo with a cold face.
The eyes of the drunk mouse suddenly widened. He threw the bun in his hand and turned around to crawl into the hole he had just drilled. As soon as his head was halfway in, he saw Cang Mo raise his hand, and the drunk mouse was pulled out by a huge suction force. His fat body flew up in the air, clattered to the wall, and fell to the ground again, with a line of nosebleeds hanging on it.
Lin Qingyang stepped forward and said, "You are a rat who always regards wealth as your life. If you really run away, how could you leave this burden behind?"
As he spoke, he opened the scattered baggage on the table, pulled out a stack of spirit stone tickets from a pile of old clothes, and patted it in his hand.
When the drunkard saw the money being taken away, he was so anxious that he reached out to grab it, but was given a cold glance by Cang Mo behind him. He was so frightened that he retracted his paws, looked at Lin Qingyang with a sad face, and asked, "You... who are you?"
Lin Qingyang casually took out the black and gold jade plaque from his waist and waved it in front of his eyes.
The drunkard was stunned and said, "Jinyu Ling?!"
Jinyuling is the highest authority brand in Fusheng Pavilion. The drunkard looked at Lin Qingyang's handsome face, frowned and muttered, "When did Fusheng Pavilion have someone like you?" Suddenly a light flashed in his mind and he blurted out, "I know, you look like a pretty boy... you must be the spider's concubine!"
Lin Qingyang was speechless for a while, and just about to curse, the drunkard was knocked over by a force again, and hit the wall again with a bang, causing a crack in the wall. When he fell to the ground, there were stars in his eyes, and his nosebleed turned into two lines.
"Please be gentle. Once you're knocked unconscious, there's no need to ask." Lin Qingyang said helplessly to Cang Mo.
Cang Mo glanced at him with a cold face, turned his head and said nothing.
