• One-Ear confirmed that A Chou, a scarred Wolf Demon, had been taken to Ding District, and led Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo there.
• Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo saw Earth Bulls discard an injured deer demon and her apparently dead cub through a hatch.
• One-Ear led them through the iron door into a dark cave, where Qi Mo realized the scent did not belong to A Chou.
• One-Ear vanished and revealed his true hyena form, while another hyena attacked Lin Qingyang and more than a dozen hyenas surrounded them.
• With the entrance shut and the pack closing in, Lin Qingyang told Qi Mo to hold tight to him, and two hyenas collided as they lunged.

Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo fell into a fog-shrouded valley filled with demonic qi and discovered a mountain of bones beneath Wasteland Town. As Qi Mo confronted the likely fate of A Chou and his people, Lin Qingyang weakened from the demonic qi, and the two began climbing toward an exit before something caught his leg.

• Qi Mo revealed his claws and fangs to protect Lin Qingyang from One-Ear, but a hyena bit Lin Qingyang and sent him over the edge; Qi Mo jumped after him.
• Qi Mo cushioned Lin Qingyang’s fall, and Lin Qingyang killed the hyena that attacked them at the bottom of the valley.
• Qi Mo bandaged Lin Qingyang’s badly bitten leg, and they discovered that they had landed on a vast pile of bones beneath Wasteland Town.
• Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo saw the deer demon’s remains atop Bone Mountain, and Qi Mo asked whether A Chou was there too.
• Lin Yao warned that the dense demonic qi was poisoning Lin Qingyang, so Qi Mo helped him climb toward the shaft that led outside.

Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo rescued a dying red-furred Fire Spirit Fox from a valley beneath the Jin Yao Workshop and escaped by luring a pack of hyenas into the lobby. Back at the inn, Lin Qingyang persuaded Mo Yan to use Spiritual Power to save the fox by claiming it could fetch fifty thousand Spirit Stones.

• Lin Qingyang and Lin Yao hid while Qi Mo searched a moving pile of bones and found a wounded red-furred Fox Demon with a lotus-shaped mark.
• Qi Mo carried the fox out with Lin Qingyang, and the two escaped a hyena pack by knocking over an Earth Bull and using a bloodied rat to draw the hyenas away.
• The hyenas rampaged through the Jin Yao Workshop lobby as Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo fled, leaving Hua Jin roaring behind them.
• Lin Qingyang asked Mo Yan to save the fox, and Mo Yan refused until Lin Qingyang claimed it was a rare Fire Spirit Fox worth fifty thousand Spirit Stones.
• Mo Yan agreed to leave the fox with him, and after Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo left, he curiously examined the fox.

After Qi Mo comforted Lin Qingyang through the night, Lin Qingyang told him he could leave if he wished, but Qi Mo could not answer. Their conversation was interrupted by a commotion in Mo Yan’s room, where they found the Fox Demon injured and terrified.

• Qi Mo treated Lin Qingyang’s leg, then broke down as Lin Qingyang comforted him and apologized for his sister’s death.
• The next morning, Qi Mo apologized for getting Lin Qingyang hurt and promised not to hide anything from him again.
• Lin Qingyang guessed Qi Mo had planned to escape with A Chou and offered to remove his Demon-Locking Ring if he wanted to leave.

Lin Qingyang rescued Hong Ling, a Fire Spirit Fox Demon Slave, and learned that Hong Ling had been abused at the Jin Yao Workshop and used Bewitchment on Mo Yan and Lin Qingyang. As Lin Qingyang debated what would become of the now-free fox, Hall Master Kong of the Jin Yao Workshop arrived to see him.

• Lin Qingyang took Hong Ling from Mo Yan's room and gave him food, while Qi Mo jealously ate the buns.
• Hong Ling introduced himself and explained that Cen Yue had beaten him after failing to obtain Lin Qingyang's companion.
• Hong Ling used Bewitchment on Lin Qingyang, but Qi Mo pulled him away and nearly strangled him before Lin Qingyang stopped him.
• Lin Qingyang told Hong Ling he was free to leave, but Hong Ling insisted he had nowhere to go and wanted to stay with them.
• A waiter announced that Hall Master Kong of the Jin Yao Workshop had come to see Lin Qingyang.

Lin Qingyang, Qi Mo, and Mo Yan accepted a carriage ride to the Xuanhuang Sect, but Kong Qin revealed that he was acting on orders to ambush them. The carriage carried them unconscious toward the sect.

• Kong Qin apologized on behalf of Hua Jin and offered Lin Qingyang and his companions a carriage to the Xuanhuang Sect.
• Qi Mo warned Hong Ling to stay away from Lin Qingyang, while Lin Qingyang later brought Hong Ling along in Mo Yan’s Qiankun Bag.
• Lin Qingyang, Qi Mo, and Mo Yan boarded Hua Jin’s flying carriage with Kong Qin and saw the Xuanhuang Sect’s seven peaks from above.
• Kong Qin revealed that he was a half-demon whose inherited skill let him fly with blue-feathered wings.

Lin Qingyang woke imprisoned by the Xuanhuang Sect, with an Immortal-Locking Ring suppressing his spiritual power, and was brought to a banquet with Mo Yan. Sect Leader Cen Ru'an revealed he had a favor to ask, and Lin Qingyang guessed he wanted Lin Yao.

• Lin Qingyang woke in a lavish room and discovered an Immortal-Locking Ring around his neck that blocked his spiritual power.
• Lin Qingyang tried to cut off the ring, which tightened around his throat until it released him.

• Hua Jin revealed that A Chou had escaped from Pill Spirit Peak after killing several people and had become powerful by consuming cultivation-enhancing pills.
• Lin Qingyang realized that the Xuanhuang Sect intended to use A-Qi as bait to draw out A Chou, his older sister.

Lin Qingyang and Mo Yan remained imprisoned by the Xuanhuang Sect and suspected the sect was hiding something about A Chou and Wu Ze. Hong Ling emerged from Lin Qingyang’s Qiankun Bag and revealed a transformation ability, leaving the group still trapped but with a possible new way to act.

• Mo Yan raged about the Xuanhuang Sect imprisoning him and Lin Qingyang, while Lin Qingyang wondered what was happening to A-Qi.
• Lin Qingyang suspected the Xuanhuang Sect had a secret reason for handling A Chou themselves and questioned Wu Ze’s behavior.

Hua Jin grew frustrated with Cen Ru'an and agreed to drink privately with Lin Qingyang after he lured her in with his appearance and charm. Lin Qingyang shut Kong Qin out, leaving him jealous and resentful as the meeting began.

• Hua Jin complained that Cen Ru'an favored Wu Ze and took her frustration out on Kong Qin, then asked whether Lin Qingyang and the others had been settled in.
• Hua Jin agreed to visit Lin Qingyang after he sent word that he wanted to drink with her, while Kong Qin frowned at the invitation.
• Lin Qingyang dressed to charm Hua Jin and reminded Hong Ling of their plan while Mo Yan questioned whether the ploy would work.
• Hua Jin arrived at the courtyard with Kong Qin, and Lin Qingyang invited her inside for wine.

Lin Qingyang and Mo Yan used Hong Ling’s disguises and Hua Jin’s attraction to Lin Qingyang to capture their guards and learn where A-Qi was being held. They left the room disguised as disciples, with Hong Ling posing as Hua Jin.

• Lin Qingyang and Hong Ling lured Hua Jin into a room, where the disguised Hong Ling entranced her and the real Lin Qingyang knocked her unconscious.
• Mo Yan trapped Kong Qin with a Demon-Capturing Net and knocked him out after Lin Qingyang learned that A-Qi was in the dungeon on Qing'an Peak.
• Hong Ling disguised himself as Hua Jin and drew the two guarding disciples inside, where Lin Qingyang and Mo Yan knocked them out, bound them, and gagged them.

Lin Qingyang, Mo Yan, and Hong Ling crossed to Qing'an Peak under Hua Jin’s disguise to reach the Heavenly Prison and rescue Qi Mo. They arrived as Cen Yue prepared to brand Qi Mo, but a disciple announced that Peak Master Hua wanted to see Cen Yue.

• Lin Qingyang, Mo Yan, and Hong Ling crossed the suspension bridge, with Hong Ling clinging to Mo Yan because he feared heights.
• The three bluffed their way past Qing'an Peak’s guards and climbed toward the Heavenly Prison, where they learned Cen Yue was inside.
• Cen Yue tortured the chained Qi Mo and taunted him about Lin Qingyang being unable to help.
• Qi Mo lunged at Cen Yue, but the chains stopped him, and Cen Yue raised a red-hot branding iron toward his face.
• A disciple interrupted Cen Yue to report that Peak Master Hua had come to see him.

Lin Qingyang reached Qi Mo in the cell and found him chained to the wall with a burned brand on his face. As Hua Jin arrived with Kong Qin and a group of disciples, Lin Qingyang prepared to face her while Qi Mo remained trapped.

• Cen Yue left the mountain after Hong Ling impersonated Hua Jin and summoned him to see the Sect Leader.
• After Hong Ling exhausted his demonic power and returned to fox form, Lin Qingyang hurried into the cell to find Qi Mo.
• Lin Qingyang discovered chains piercing Qi Mo’s shoulders and a bloody brand burned into his cheek, and promised to get him treated.
• Lin Qingyang tried to cut the chains with the Windflower Sword, but Mo Yan explained that spiritual power protected them.

Lin Qingyang escaped Hua Jin when the black wolf emerged from the cell and attacked her and her disciples. After Hua Jin fell from the cliff and Kong Qin went after her, Lin Qingyang rode the wolf down the mountain as Mo Yan and Hong Ling followed.

• Hua Jin confronted Lin Qingyang and tried to drag him away, but the black wolf emerged from the cell after Lin Qingyang had removed its Demon-Locking Ring.
• The black wolf broke Hua Jin's Bone Whip, injured Kong Qin, and badly wounded Hua Jin in the fight.
• At Lin Qingyang's call, the black wolf spared Hua Jin's life but struck her off the cliff, and Kong Qin jumped after her.
• A Xuanhuang Sect disciple sent up an alarm signal, so Lin Qingyang climbed onto the black wolf and fled down the mountain with the Windflower Sword.
• Hua Jin ordered the disciples to pursue them, while Mo Yan and Hong Ling left the cell and hurried down the mountain.

Lin Qingyang and A-Qi fought their way off the mountain, but Wu Ze captured them and Cen Yue seized Lin Qingyang. Lin Qingyang summoned the Windflower Sword, which cut off Cen Yue’s arm and freed him.

• Lin Qingyang rode A-Qi through Qing'an Peak’s archers and escaped by using the funeral coffin as a distraction.
• Lin Qingyang set fire to the suspension bridge, and A-Qi leaped across as it collapsed, knocking Cen Yue down on the far side.
• Wu Ze attacked with red vines, binding Lin Qingyang and A-Qi and bringing them both to the ground.
• Cen Yue returned and grabbed Lin Qingyang while Wu Ze left him alone.
• Lin Qingyang called for Lin Yao, and the Windflower Sword struck Cen Yue, severed his arm, and freed Lin Qingyang.

Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo escaped the Xuanhuang Sect in Hua Jin's flying Carriage, but a flock of crows attacked them as Lin Qingyang passed out and fell into the Great Wilderness Mountain. Qi Mo leaped after him while Mo Yan and Hong Ling were carried away in the runaway Carriage.

• Lin Qingyang freed Black Wolf from Wu Ze's Red Vines, and they escaped on Hua Jin's Carriage as Wu Ze failed to stop them.
• Hua Jin recognized her Carriage and shouted angrily as it flew away from the Xuanhuang Sect with Mo Yan, Hong Ling, Lin Qingyang, and Qi Mo aboard.
• Lin Qingyang praised Qi Mo's wolf form, then collapsed from exhaustion while resting on his back.
• A flock of crows attacked the Carriage, and Lin Qingyang slipped off its roof after passing out.
• Qi Mo leaped after Lin Qingyang into the Great Wilderness Mountain, while Mo Yan struggled to control the runaway Carriage.

Qi Mo rescued Lin Qingyang from the fall, absorbed the demonic qi from his wounds, and discovered he could use his demonic power freely. After Lin Qingyang woke and found Qi Mo naked and showing off his new abilities, they realized they were trapped at the bottom of Cinnabar Peak’s valley and would have to wait until daylight to find a way out.

• Qi Mo caught Lin Qingyang as they fell, brought him to the stream, and absorbed the demonic qi from his wounds.
• Qi Mo experimented with his demonic power, healing his scars and transforming parts of his body before leaping through the woods.
• Lin Qingyang woke and watched Qi Mo jumping around naked, then tossed him clothes after Qi Mo splashed him with water.

Qi Mo and Lin Qingyang spent the night in the wilderness, where Qi Mo briefly considered keeping Lin Qingyang from returning to the Nine Skies Sect. A Chou reunited with Qi Mo but threatened Lin Qingyang, forcing Qi Mo to oppose his sister to protect his master.

• Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo roasted fish, planned to reach Wasteland Town, and Lin Qingyang fell asleep beside Qi Mo.
• A monkey stole their leftover fish, and a huge gray wolf attacked Qi Mo before he recognized her as his sister, A Chou.
• A Chou learned Lin Qingyang was Qi Mo's master and tried to kill him, but Qi Mo stopped her.

Cen Ru'an lost control and drained Cen Yue and others of their blood and spiritual power, while Wu Ze killed a fleeing disciple. In the forest, A Chou urged Qi Mo to return to the Ten Thousand Demons Forest, but Qi Mo's memories ended on Lin Qingyang.

• Cen Ru'an arrived at Cen Yue's bedside and drained the physician until he became a dried corpse.
• Cen Ru'an bit Cen Yue's severed arm and drained him, while Wu Ze killed a disciple fleeing the hall.
• Cen Ru'an learned Lin Qingyang had cut off Cen Yue's hand and vowed to kill him.

Kong Qin captured Hong Ling after he disguised himself as Lin Qingyang to distract the Xuanhuang Sect disciples. Mo Yan returned to save Hong Ling, and Kong Qin spared him in exchange for delivering a message to Lin Qingyang.

• Hong Ling disguised himself as Lin Qingyang and led the pursuing Xuanhuang Sect disciples away before Kong Qin captured him in fox form.
• Kong Qin learned that Hong Ling had helped the group escape and threatened to kill him unless he revealed where the others were.
• Hong Ling said Lin Qingyang and Qi Mo had been separated from them, while Daoist Mo might have returned to the Nine Skies Sect.
