Lin Qingyang uncovered Jin Buhuan’s illusion realm and the truth behind Starshift Palace as Jin Buhuan took revenge for his clan. After escaping Liuxian Island, Lin Qingyang grew closer to Qi Mo, but Shi Ruobai attacked them both and had Lin Qingyang imprisoned on a poisoning accusation.

• Lin Qingyang investigated the dormant Windflower Sword, Wen Xing’s death, and the failed Ten-Thousand-Li Tianyan Array before realizing that Liuxian Island was an illusion realm.
• Jin Buhuan restrained Lin Qingyang and drained Qi Mo’s Demonic Power to maintain the illusion realm.
• Jin Buhuan exposed Tianheng as Wang Wu, who had engineered the turtle demons’ slaughter, then killed him by stripping away the Heavenly Tortoise Shell.
• Lin Qingyang defended Jin Buhuan against Divine Sword Mountain and separated himself from the Nine Skies Sect, while Qi Mo was wounded protecting him.
• Jin Buhuan died after sending Lin Qingyang, Qi Mo, and Mo Yan to the teleportation array, and Qi Mo carried them away before a tsunami submerged Liuxian Island.
• Lin Qingyang returned to the Nine Skies Sect, mourned Jin Buhuan, realized Qi Mo was the Demon King reborn, and kissed Qi Mo while drunk.

After Shi Ruobai’s transformation and death, Lin Qingyang pursued the controlled Xue Lanyuan and was gravely wounded while confronting Bi Yue. Later, he investigated the Red Refining Sect massacre and exposed Tie Feng’s role in creating a dangerous Demon Sword, then helped Cang Mo set a trap for it.

• Shi Ruobai transformed into an Otherworldly Demon, killed himself after apologizing to Lin Qingyang, and left the sect in mourning.
• Bi Yue controlled Xue Lanyuan and Hong Ling, then forced Lin Qingyang to choose between saving Xue Lanyuan and Qi Mo, and Lin Qingyang carried Xue Lanyuan away while Qi Mo fell in battle.
• Bi Yue attacked Lin Qingyang and damaged his Spiritual Root, but Mo Yan and others found him and brought him for treatment as a storm gathered over Ten Thousand Demons Forest.
• Lin Qingyang met Mo Yan at Fusheng Pavilion and argued that trade between the clans could prevent war, then investigated the Red Refining Sect massacre with him.
• At the Red Refining Sect, Lin Qingyang rejected the claim that Cang Mo had ordered the killings and found evidence that the missing weapons and damaged workshop pointed to a different culprit.
• Tie Feng triggered a lava attack at the Forge Workshop, but Cang Mo arrived, freed the fire salamanders, and ordered Lin Qingyang thrown into the magma.
• Lin Qingyang accused Tie Feng of covering up the Demon Sword that had killed the sect, and Tie Feng confessed that Tie Zhenshan had created it while refining fragments of the Nine Heavens Sword.
• Lin Qingyang urged Cang Mo to capture the Demon Sword using Black Blade Howling Moon as bait, and Cang Mo warned that he would sacrifice Lin Qingyang if the plan failed.

Lin Qingyang and Cang Mo uncovered Chimei’s role in the Nine Heavens Sword plot and destroyed the Soul Fiend, while their strained relationship grew closer. After recovering in Demon Emperor City, Lin Qingyang learned Cang Mo was preparing to marry the Merfolk Princess and planned to leave.

• Cang Mo confronted Lin Qingyang over his five-year absence, then took him to Demon Emperor City to investigate the poisoned clan chiefs and Wine Rat.
• Lin Qingyang and Cang Mo found Wine Rat at Baoyue Pavilion, learned the sword fragment came from the Shadow Cavern, and tracked down Chimei, a Soul Fiend who had supplied the fragments to provoke conflict.
• Cang Mo used ice to destroy Chimei, then drew the deadly cold from Lin Qingyang with a kiss and carried him back to Azure Wind Hall.
• Gu Teng told Cang Mo that Lin Qingyang’s spiritual root could only be restored with a Nirvana Lotus, while Cang Mo cared for Lin Qingyang through his fever.
• Lin Qingyang discovered that Hong Ling had lost his memories and saw the Sea Tribe delegation arrive with the Merfolk Princess, making him think Cang Mo’s wedding was imminent.
• Mo Yan found Lin Qingyang at Baoyue Pavilion, misunderstood Cang Mo’s bite marks and clothing, then heard about Chimei and agreed to leave Demon Emperor City.
• Lin Qingyang planned to leave the next day and searched for a wedding gift for Cang Mo, then became curious about whether Cang Mo was still a virgin.

Cang Mo forced Lin Qingyang into marriage, while Lin Qingyang worked to prevent war between the Human and Demon Clans. The arc ended with Lin Qingyang revealing that he could release every Demon Slave from their Demon-Locking Rings, giving him leverage in the peace talks.

• Lin Qingyang discovered that Cang Mo had kept the Demon-Locking Ring, then learned at the Sea Tribe banquet that Jin Buhuan was alive and that Cang Mo’s wedding was meant to be with him.
• Cang Mo burned Lin Qingyang’s message talisman, revealed the wedding was for them, and insisted they would marry despite Lin Qingyang’s refusal.
• Lin Qingyang escaped Azure Wind Hall with Mo Yan’s help, but Cang Mo recaptured him and threatened Mo Yan to force him through the wedding.
• Cang Mo and Lin Qingyang married before the Demon Clan, and Cang Mo admitted he had orchestrated the Red Refining Sect’s destruction to draw Lin Qingyang out.
• Lin Qingyang urged Cang Mo to pursue peace rather than war, secured Mo Yan’s release, and persuaded him to deliver a peace proposal to the Immortal Alliance.
• The Immortal Alliance agreed to peace talks after Mo Yan conveyed Lin Qingyang’s message, and Cang Mo and Lin Qingyang led the Demon Clan delegation to Fusheng Pavilion.
• Lin Qingyang stopped the delegates from fighting and demanded the release of all demon slaves, while Jian Hong rejected his terms and Cang Mo threatened war.
• Lin Qingyang revealed that he owned Fusheng Pavilion as Tu San and had placed a master array in the Demon-Locking Rings that could free every Demon Slave, giving the Demon Clan major leverage.
